WATCH: Stumps a mess as Rajasthan Royals opener gets ramp shot horribly wrong
Yashasvi Jaiswal was looking comfortable at 67 off 40, until this moment when he hit the ball into his own stumps!
Former Australian Test great Adam Gilchrist has got up to some old tricks during an invitational match at Lords.
Following his stint in the Indian Premier League, last year Gilchrist decided to hang up the gloves. Despite the decision to complete a full retirement, the 42-year-old has shown he can still match it against the fastest bowlers in world.
Coming up against Australian paceman Shaun Tait, Gilchrist clearly relished the chance to dust off his bat and treat himself to a few more boundaries at the famous ground.
Thanks to a well placed camera, cricket fans have been able to experience what it looks like to dispatch Tait down the ground and over square leg.
Although not featured on the vision, Gilchrist managed two additional boundaries during Tait’s over, racking up 17 runs in total for the over.
The match took place between the Marylebone Cricket Club and a Rest of World XI, featuring names such as Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, Virender Sehwag and Kevin Pietersen.
Despite Gilchrist’s heroics with the bat, Marylebone Cricket Club went on to win the match by 7 wickets.
Gilchrist last represented Australia at the Test level in 2008.
