The Barbarians have added three All Blacks and a handful of other New Zealand-based players to their squad to the Wallabies at Twickenham next month.
Former flanker Adam Thomson, who last week signed with the Queensland Reds, is included in the squad coached by Blues mentor Sir John Kirwan.
Blues backs Francis Saili and Frank Halai, who have played three Tests between them, are also named in the invitation side who will provide the Wallabies’ first opponents on their season-ending tour on November 1.
The Barbarians will also play Leicester three days later.
Others unveiled by Kirwan on Monday are Chiefs fullback Tim Nanai-Williams, Highlanders wing Patrick Osborne, Chiefs hooker Mahonri Schwalger and Blues hooker James Parsons.
The Highlanders’ Japanese international halfback Fumiaki Tanaka is also named.
It is the second wave of selections from Kirwan who last month selected seven South African forwards and popular Wallabies wing Nick Cummins, who is playing club rugby in Japan.
