The Memphis Grizzlies have sent a message to the Western Conference balancing the ledger in Game 2 of their NBA semi-final against the Golden State Warriors with a 97-90 win on Wednesday afternoon (AEST).

It was January 27th the last time Golden State lost on their home court – a game that went to overtime against the Chicago Bulls.

In Game 1, it appeared as if the NBA’s strongest home-court advantage was going to continue to provide for the Warriors, as they downed a Mike Conley-less Grizzlies 101 to 86.

However, the return of Conley would prove the spark the visitors needed to pull off the first upset in Oakland for more than three months.

Conley played just the 27 minutes, but still managed a game-high 22 points shooting eight of 12 from the field, including three three-pointers.

The Warriors, a notoriously potent long-range shooting team struggled from beyond the arc, shooting the three ball at just 23 per cent (6 from 26). The ‘Splash Brothers’, newly crowned MVP Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, threw up a combined seventeen threes, only finding the bottom of the net on three occasions.

Can the number one seed from the Western Conference bounce back in Memphis? Or will the Grizzlies extend their advantage with a home crowd behind them?

The series heads to the FedExForum in Memphis for Game 3 on Sunday morning at 10:00am (AEST).
