In what was a very important match for the Roos, the North Melbourne leaders certainly stood up in the second half after being dominated by a very committed Saints side in the first half.
>>MATCH REPORT: Roos come from behind to beat Saints
In what was very much a game of two halves, it was St Kilda that got things rolling, leading the Roos by 20 points at the main break. They dominated much of the second quarter and North Melbourne were very much on the back foot.
However the Saints were not prepared for the North Melbourne onslaught that followed, as the Roos kicked an impressive 9 goals in the third term, as they left the Saints ruing missed opportunities in front of goal. Drew Petrie and Lindsay Thomas stood up with three goals each in the third term to give their side a handy lead at 3/4 time.
In the final term it was the Roos that continued their dominance as they ran away 37 point victors, their sixth win a row.

Footy returns to Hobart as the North Melbourne Kangaroos host the St Kilda Saints at their home-away-from-home, Blundstone Arena, and look to secure their place in the top eight. Join The Roar from 2:10pm (AEST) for all the action.
A disappointing loss to Suns in Round 14 turned things around at Arden Street, as the Kangas have won five in a row and have finals action in their sights.
North are coming off a comfortable 35-point win over the Demons and currently sixth, with 11 wins. A win against the Saints is a must as their next three matches are against top-eight sides.
Last week Todd Goldstein continued to prove his worth as the best ruckman in the league, with 50 hit-outs and eight marks. New recruit Shaun Higgins has also been one of North Melbourne’s star performers, kicking 31 goals for the season. Higgins was again impressive in last week’s victory of the Demons, picking up 31 disposals and kicking two goals.
Higgins however is in doubt for this match, with a suspected knee injury. Michael Firrito meanwhile will come straight back into the line up after serving a one-match suspension.
Meanwhile, the rebuilding Saints never quite recovered from a first-quarter onslaught by the Dockers last week, and were playing catch up from then.
The Saints have made a considerable number of changes this week, with Daniel McKenzie, Shane Savage, Paddy McCartin and Jack Lonie making way for Daniel Minchington, Billy Longer, Josh Saunders and Jimmy Webster.
The Kangaroos have won their last three matches against the Saints by an average margin of 53 points, and have a favourable record in Hobart, winning six out of their last eight there.
Prediction
Being the in-form team, North Melbourne should win, but the Saints will make them work for it.
North by 35 points.
Will North Melbourne make it six in a row, or do the Saints have something up their sleeve to surprise the Kangas? Join The Roar from 1:45pm (AEST) to find out.
