Headlined by UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, UFC 193 has been hyped as the biggest event in the history of the organisation, and will take place at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium.

The undefeated Rousey is putting her title on the line against Holly Holm.

The co-main event features sees Women’s Strawweight title holder Joanna Jedrzejczyk putting her title on the line against Valerie Letourneau.

The card will also feature many prominent Australian fighters, such as Jake Matthews and Mark Hunt.

The two main bouts are set to consist of five 5-minute rounds. All other bouts will consist of three 5-minute rounds.

Octagon rules
Ten-point scoring system, round winner gains ten points with the opponent getting nine or fewer.

Points are scored based on effective: aggression, striking, grappling and octagon control.

Prohibited moves include: biting, fish hooks, eye gouges, 12-to-6 elbows, grabbing opponents shorts, grabbing the fence, strikes to the back or the back of the head, groin strikes, knees and kicks to a grounded opponent (one hand or knee to the mat constitutes a grounded opponent).
