Australia put in a dominant attacking display, scoring four tries to zero, with Adam Ashley-Cooper scoring a hat-trick and picking up man of the match honours.

On return from injury, David Pocock was superb for the Australians, however the same could not be said about fellow returnee Israel Folau, who limped from the field after suffering another knock to his troublesome ankle.

The win sets up a historic Anzac World Cup final, with the All Blacks advancing past the Springboks in the other semi-final.

The World Cup final will take place at 3:00am (AEDT) on Sunday morning at Twickenham.
