Rugby Australia's debts blow out to almost $89 million after draw-down of PEP facility
Phil Waugh is hopeful that windfalls from the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour and the 2027 RWC will be more than enough to pay back the debt.
Sportswriters Brett McKay and Ryan O’Connell have reconvened for a very special Rugby World Cup final edition of the Cheap Seats podcast.
Whispers of a return were well received, and spawned a new batch of World Cup #AskTheCheapSeats questions, most probably to ensure the boys had something to talk about.
In the most anticipated game in trans-Tasman rugby history, topics in the lead-up to the Rugby World Cup decider include:
– The fitness of Israel Folau
– The prospect of wet weather (including a terrible BBC voice)
– The big performers for either side
– Tactical kicking
– The likelihood of free-flowing attack
– The Wallabies’ improvements under Michael Cheika
– The moments of Rugby World Cup 2015
– The whole Craig Joubert episode
– The point of the third versus fourth playoff
– And the history of the Player of the Tournament
In short, if there’s something you’re wondering about with the final, the boys have got you covered.
