The Cleveland Cavaliers are in disarray as problems that stem from off the court saw them change coaches. The Chicago Bulls will be looking to make the most of that when they travel to the Quicken Loans Arena. Join The Roar for live scores from 12:30pm (AEDT).

The Cavaliers yesterday unexpectedly announced that their coach David Blatt would be fired effective immediately. Now if the team was down near the bottom of the standings, or struggling for form it would be a little easier to understand. However, they aren’t. Far from it, as the Cavaliers currently lead the Eastern conference.

LeBron James’ team currently holds a record of 30 wins and 11 losses, a full three games ahead of the second placed team in the East – The Toronto Raptors. While the Cavaliers may have lost two of their last five games, it is certainly not panic stations. Reasons for the firing were mainly around team harmony in the locker room.

For that reason, it will be interesting to see if a change in coach effects their playing style.

Last start the Cavaliers had an important 13-point road win over the Los Angeles Clippers, even if they were without Blake Griffin. Having lost those two games recently, the Cavaliers can look to win this one and continue to push ahead with their season.

The Bulls meanwhile sit in fourth place out in the East with a record of 24 wins and 18 losses. This leaves them 6.5 games behind the Cavaliers and needing to continue winning in order to hold that top four position with the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons breathing down their neck.

The Bulls will enter this game having lost their last two in a row though, even if one was against the Golden State Warriors and the other was on the road against the Boston Celtics. Looking further back and they have lost five from their last seven.

For the Bulls to pull out of this form slump it is going to be up to the likes of Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol to stand up and be counted.

The two teams haven’t played since the season’s opening day where the Chicago Bulls won by two points at home.

Prediction
Tough game to predict this one as it is really hard to say exactly what effect a change of coach is going to have on the Cavaliers. However, the fact still remains they have been brilliant at home, and have the talent to match any team in the comp. Expect LeBron James to be in for a big game.

Cavaliers by 8.
