Serena Williams is powering her way towards another Australian Open final and once again starts a strong favourite against the talented Agnieszka Radwanska. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:30pm (AEDT).

Radwanska was very impressive in her straight sets victory over Carla Saurez-Navarro but even her best form may not be enough against Williams this afternoon.

As she showed against Maria Sharapova, Williams is practically unbeatable at her best with the American possessing a significant power advantage over her WTA rivals.

After a shaky start, Williams found her range against Sharapova and pinned Sharapova deep behind the baseline with her ultra-aggressive shot making.

Even Williams’ first serves were hit with venom, with a few serves in particular cracking the 200 kilometres per hour barrier.

In short, Williams’ power and aggressive play negate any style opposing her across the net. Radwanska is an intelligent player and great counter puncher, but she lacks the firepower to trouble Williams today.

For Radwanska to cause the upset, the Polish star will have to rely on Williams dropping her form in a bid to cause a major upset.

At the US Open last year, Italian Roberta Vinci defied all the odds to beat an off colour Williams to progress to her maiden grand slam final.

If Williams is complacent, Radwanska does have a chance to secure a place in Saturday’s women’s final.

However, Williams’ ominous form against Sharapova, doesn’t bode well for Radwanska. The American is just too dominant at her best, and if she continues from where she left off in the quarter-finals, Williams will no doubt build on a flawless 8-0 winning record over the Polish player.

Williams to win in straight sets.
