Singapore’s first live Super Rugby match sees the Sunwolves play host to the Cheetahs. Join The Roar for all the action from 9:50pm (AEDT).

The Sunwolves have an opportunity to snare their first win ever in Super Rugby.

Well rested after the bye, the Japanese side will view their opposition with optimism, with the Cheetahs having dropped their first two games at home this season.

Key to the Sunwolves achieving victory will be playing with more control and accuracy for the entire 80 minutes, as their defence faded away in the last 30 minutes against the Lions in the first round.

The Cheetahs are under pressure to right their season, and their overseas tour takes on more significance after a poor start at home.

In a further blow for the South Africans, Lood de Jager is being rested in accordance with the South African Rugby Union’s policy that Springboks are not permitted to play in five consecutive matches. Francois Uys assumes the captaincy in his absence.

Both sides enjoy playing with width and attacking endeavour, so the Singapore crowd should be in for a spectacle.

Prediction
The Cheetahs are desperate and will play with greater cohesion than the Sunwolves after a bye.
