Manchester United will be looking to go within one point of the top four when they take on Everton at Old Trafford. Join The Roar from 1am AEST for live scores.

After a disappointing season by Manchester United standards, the Red Devils are within two games of regaining a spot in the top four.

The Red Devils are in serious danger of missing out on the Champions League, however a big win over rivals Manchester City in their last fixture bettered their chances of playing in Europe’s premier competition.

United’s newest star Marcus Rashford found the net in the 16th minute as the Red Devils went on to beat the Citizens 1-nil away from home.

Rashord, just 18 years of age, became the youngest player to score in a Manchester derby, and is quickly becoming the Premier League’s newest star.

Manchester United have scored 999 goals at Old Trafford, and there will be plenty of players looking to get that historic 1000th goal for the club.

After a disappointing 2-nil loss to Arsenal in their last fixture, Everton will know that they cannot afford to lose if they want any hope of playing in any European competitions.

The Toffees’ poor form however seems to be a home-ground curse, having only lost one of their past 14 Premier League away matches.

Romelu Lukaku has been on firing form for Everton, scoring six goals in last seven appearances.

Lukaku also has a rich history against Manchester United, being one of only four players to score a hat-trick against the Red Devils in the Premier League.

The last time these two sides faced off was last October. Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney all found the net for the Red Devils as they went on to beat Everton 3-nil away from home.

It will be a historic game at Old Trafford, and with three-straight home wins and plenty to play for, they will be hard to deny.

Prediction
Manchester United 2 – 0 Everton
