Timea Bacsinszky will look to keep her streak of not dropping a set alive when she takes on Kiki Bertens in their quarter-final matchup tonight. Join The Roar for live scores of the match from around 11pm (AEST).

Bertens will make her first ever quarter-final berth at a grand slam after an incredible run that has seen her knock off three seeded players on her way to tonight’s match against Bacsinszky.

Having set this run in motion by firstly toppling No.3 seed Angelique Kerber, she’ll have her sights set firmly on a first ever grand slam semi-final berth.

Timea Bacsinszky has been on an absolute tear since the French Open got underway and not only has she yet to drop a set, she hasn’t looked like coming close to losing a match.

The form she will carry heading into tonight’s match will hold her in good stead and the bookmakers tend to agree. Bertens however won’t be far behind in the confidence stakes.

Prediction

Initially I had this as a one-sided victory for Bacsinszky and while I still have her winning this one, Bertens will put up a huge fight and will take the first set from the No.8 seed.

Bacsinszky in three sets (6-4, 5-7, 6-3).
