Czech Republic are looking to keep their Euro 2016 hopes alive when they take on Croatia. Join The Roar from 2am (AEST) for live scores.

Coming off a heart-breaking loss to Spain in their last fixture, the Czech Republic cannot afford another loss if they wish to advance to the last 16.

The Czechs defended valiantly and played good football against the 2012 champions, however an 87th-minute goal saw them miss out on a vital point.

Despite the loss, the Czechs had plenty of positives to take away from the match. Former Arsenal man Tomas Rosicky gave the Spanish trouble, and star goalkeeper Petr Cech was almost perfect in between the posts.

Coming off a huge win over Turkey in their opening fixture, Croatia are just one win away from qualification into the next round of the competition, after Luka Modric’s spectacular first-half strike gave his side a 1-nil win at the Parc des Princes.

Darijo Srna will captain Croatia against the Czech Republic, having just returned from his father’s funeral, who passed away after the Turkey game.

Despite their loss, the Czech Republic looked fantastic against Spain and may be the dark horses of the group. Croatia are favourites on paper, but this is a very winnable game for the Czechs.

Prediction
Czech Republic 1-0 Croatia
