Paul Gallen has confirmed that his next season with Cronulla is likely to be his last in the NRL.
Gallen’s hoping to finalise negotiations in the next few weeks before the finals start and has told the Triple M Rush Hour it’ll be for less than he’s getting now.
The 34-year-old reportedly earns $650,000 but will take a pay cut as he enters his 17th NRL season.

But he says while the one-year extension is likely to be his last NRL season, he may consider heading to the English Super League.
Gallen made his debut late in the 2001 NRL season and went on to play 22 games for New South Wales and also represented Australia 31 times on the international stage.
After Gallen officially retires, he will continue to contribute to the Sharks as an ambassador.
