New South Wales have won Game 3 of State of Origin – and the 2019 series – after one of the most incredible tries in Origin history.

Having surrendered 20-8 lead in the second half, the Blues were on the back foot. With the demons of series deciders past threatening to derail their hopes of securing a second straight series victory.

Enter Blake Ferguson and James Tedesco.

The backline duo terrorised the Maroons all evening and, off what was looking like an innocuous fourth-tackle play at the death, Mitchell Pearce sent an ambitious wide pass across the field to Tom Trbojevic, who sent it quickly to Blake Ferguson on the wing in space.

The Eels winger made an incredible break down the sideline, keeping his balance and staying in bounds under heavy attention, before getting it across to James Tedesco, who beat his man to the corner to put the ball down with just 20 seconds left and secure NSW an series victory in the most incredible fashion.

James Maloney nailed the unnecessary conversion – the siren sounded before he took his kick – to cap off one of the most incredible series deciders in the illustrious history of State of Origin.
