Two of the biggest names in tennis go head-to-head at the 2020 Australian Open, with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic set to do battle in an enthralling men’s semi-final. This is The Roar‘s guide to streaming the match online, and watching it on TV.

The match is set to get underway at 7:30pm (AEDT) on Thursday, January 30 and will be played at Rod Laver Arena.

Federer and Djokovic have won 13 Australian Opens between them, including all but two since 2004.

How to watch the match on TV

The only way to catch the Australian Open on TV is through the new home of tennis (as of last year), the Nine Network.

Nine have had exclusive rights to the Australian Open throughout the tournament and this match is no exception. They’ll have Australian Open tennis coverage throughout all of Thursday, with their night session coverage commencing at 7pm (AEDT).

Check your local listings to confirm whether the tennis will be on Nine or 9GEM in your area – the only reason this match would be moved to the sister channel is if the news interrupts it.

Luckily, if you can’t get to a TV, you’ll also be able to stream this match online for free.

Channel Nine’s streaming service – 9Now – is available to use on desktops and laptops as a website, or on mobiles and tablets as an app. Once you create a 9Now account – which is free – you can use the service to live stream any Channel Nine content on your preferred device, including the tennis.

As always, The Roar we will have you covered with a live blog of all the action, as well as video highlights.
