There’s even more rugby to be enjoyed this weekend, with the 2020 Sydney Sevens getting underway at Bankwest Stadium on February 1 and 2.
Play commences at 9:30am (AEDT) on Saturday and 8:45am on Sunday.
The men’s side have had a mixed World Rugby Sevens series so far, losing to Samoa in the quarter-finals in Dubai, falling at the group stage in South Africa and losing to New Zealand in the semi-finals at Hamilton. The men were knocked out by Fiji at the quarter-finals of last year’s Sydney Sevens.
The women, on the other hand, have been a bit more consistent. They reached the final at both Glendale, USA and South Africa, while reaching the semi-finals in Dubai and Hamilton. At last year’s Sydney Sevens, they lost to New Zealand in the final.
