From big crowds to big time players the first 6 rounds has had it all. Most teams would like to have a game or even a quarter back if they could but we all need to take the good with the bad no matter how bad that may be.

We had a timely reminder over the weekend with the ANZAC day commemorations and the passing of people who we knew or loved. We see that people lost their lives doing what they needed for this country and the dangers that came with that.

Most of the top teams have had their moments winning games by getting things in their terms and or doing enough to get the win. The best players know how to influence games and chime in with a timely goal or two as evidenced by Bontempelli and Nick Daicos so far this year. But equally playing a good game hasn’t necessarily equated to winning as the opposition on occasions has managed to hang in their and win as evidenced this weekend in Adelaide St Kilda Melbourne and Collingwood all winning from dicey positions but ultimately had enough to win.

We see with most teams how quickly we are to question them before they get their mojo back and win a game again and things are looking up again for them. Wins and loses are part and parcel of this great game but it’s not all doom and gloom as it’s not long before you could be looking a million bucks and people are singing your praises.

We’ve seen teams go head to head with the best players and almost make them defend your player whilst trying to win the game for your team.
Good attacking footy is a much better spectacle than 8 goals each and neither team want to take risks.

Teams like always will rue their sides chances if they miss the top 8 as most teams believe they have what it takes to mix it with the big boys.

Taking your chances especially in front of goal has been the key to winning this season but how many wins are needed to make the finals but enjoying your teams good footy is something we should never take for granted.

All wins at this stage wins are hard to come by but defeats of any description are hard to take and gets you questioning certain aspects of your teams game.

More than ever it’s a team effort for 4 quarters or a short bursts here there that’s been the difference.

Half back flankers are usually the hardest position to stop and when their on in Nick Daicos and Jack Sinclair their teams feeds off of them and are hard to stop. Getting an edge is key to winning games and whilst you want to win every week loses are a by product of this industry and not something to get overly fussed about.
