Young had a very strong game in Melbourne City’s crucial win against Western Sydney. He made a fantastic save down the stretch against Dylan Pierias, just tipping the ball over the crossbar to keep the game at 2-1. The win means that Melbourne City jump into a finals spot.

Corey Brown: 0-0 draw for Brisbane Roar against Melbourne Victory. Full game played, one clearance, one interception, three duels won, 36/44 passing, six key passes, three big chances created, two dribbles.
A second straight strong performance from the Roar left back. With nine key passes and four big chances created in his last two, Brown has been a creating machine, but Brisbane lack the finisher to capitalise.
Alessandro Circati: 0-0 draw for Parma against Palermo. Full game played, eight clearances, five duels won, 49/56 passing, two long balls.
Another very solid performance for Circati, helping Parma keep a third straight clean sheet. Parma sit atop Serie B with just four rounds to go and should end up being promoted. It will be exciting to see the former Glory academy player play in Serie A.
Kai Trewin: 0-0 draw for Brisbane Roar against Melbourne Victory. Full game played, three clearances, three interceptions, three tackles, four duels won, 82/89 passing, one key pass.
A good on-the-ball game for a centre-back who is putting together quite a nice run of form at the end of the season. Trewin is a good passer and is rumoured to be going to Melbourne City next season where he will be an important part of their re-tooling.
Stefen Ugarkovic: 2-1 win for Melbourne City against Western Sydney Wanderers. Full game played, one assist, three clearances, four tackles, six duels won, 41/50 passing, one key pass.
Another impactful all-rounded performance for Ugarkovic. Along with giving a nice pass to Marin Jakolis for what turned out to be the game-winner, Ugarkovic played well defensively.
Connor Metcalfe: 2-1 win for St. Pauli against Hannover. Full game played, one assist, 33/47 passing, one key pass, one big chance created, one dribble, five duels won, two tackles.
Metcalfe played well, providing a wonderful cross to assist Oladopo Afoloyan in St. Pauli’s return to the win column. Now an established member of the Socceroo setup, Metcalfe and St. Pauli captain Jackson Irvine are now very close to the Bundesliga. One of Europe’s coolest cult clubs, St. Pauli will be a joy to watch next season.
Ethan Alagich: 3-3 draw for Adelaide United against Western United- Full game played, 43/50 passing, two key passes, one dribble, 11 duels won, two interceptions, seven tackles.
The young Adelaide midfielder was very impressive in the Reds’ draw, dominating duels in midfield and orchestrating the attack. Alagich is yet another youth product who is cementing his spot as a very good A-league player for Adelaide.
Dimitri Petratos: 2-1 win for Mohun Bagan Super Giant against Mumbai City. Full game played, two assists, 19/24 passing, two key passes, one big chance created, one dribble, two duels won, one tackle.
A little bit of cheating, as Petratos played as more of an attacking midfielder, but he was more impressive than any of the other midfielders. Along with game-winner Jason Cummings, Petratos played a key role in their club’s win that catapulted them over Mumbai City to the top of the Indian Super League.
Nestory Irankunda: 3-3 draw for Adelaide United against Western United. Full game played, one goal, one key pass, seven dribbles, ten duels won.
Looking at the stats every time I do this, the number of dribbles Irankunda completes never fails to amaze me. While the first thing that sticks out about him is his unreal speed and powerful shot, his in-tight dribbling ability has developed massively since his debut. Oh, and Irankunda added another goal.
Kusini Yengi: 3-2 win for Portsmouth against Barnsley. One goal, one dribble, five duels won, one tackle.
Yengi scored a nice goal in Portsmouth’s promotion-clinching win over Barnsley. Together with the injured Alex Robertson, Yengi celebrated Portsmouth’s return to the Championship. While he has not always been a nailed-on starter this season, Yengi has scored more than his fair share of goals.
Adam Taggart: 4-3 loss for Perth Glory against Western United. Two goals, one dribble, one key pass, two duels won.
Taggart scored twice as Perth went down against Western United, bringing his tally up to 19, quite an impressive total in a poor Perth Glory side.
