The silly season continues as the third day of the 2022 trade period dawns, with a number of big moves still yet to be made. Join The Roar for a live blog and rolling coverage of the day’s news, rumours and action from 9am (AEDT).

After three moves apiece on the first two days of the trade period, this is usually the time when things die down until the second week.

However, it’s expected a number of others moves will be finalised, with Brodie Grundy’s trade to Melbourne for pick 27 looking a go for launch, and Fremantle also set to finalise the trade of Griffin Logue and Darcy Tucker to North Melbourne as a package deal.

The Dockers are looking for a twin trade of their own back the other way, eyeing Gold Coast pair Josh Corbett and Jeremy Sharp. The latter is under contract, which complicates matters, and the Suns seem keen to play hardball.

Melbourne speed demon Toby Bedford to GWS, Adelaide swingman Billy Frampton to Collingwood and Western Bulldogs defender Zaine Cordy to St Kilda are some of the lesser trades which could be completed as well, with Cordy set to join the Saints as a free agent.
