Couldn’t agree more! If I wanted to watch less players i may as well go watch rugby league; sure the first few rounds of league are exciting, but then the results are more predictable and competition becomes repetitive and stale, Origin is a spectacle, but every thing else in league like the AFL has become a trivialisation of the sport, (off topic rugby league has become so dependant on gaming revenues it has certainly tarnished the sports credibility). Society these days is built on instant gratification, hence why a game like league is so easily marketable and easy to understand, its got nothing to do with “the best product”.

The IRB is always reviewing and tinkering with the laws of Rugby, and although rugby can loose its flow, at least the supporters are acutely aware of the intrinsics of the game and how it should be played, the foundation of rugby is its ethos, “that is to have a go!”, and like rugby tragics like myself can be frustrated, the patterns and intrinsics of the game is by far a better spectacle and it is admirable watch a team playing good attacking rugby. Hence why it can be so frustrating being a Waratahs fan!!

swap beale and folau, have beale playing a second playmaker role then you have yourself a backline!!

Kurtley Beale: a wrong to be righted

We’ve already got a good captain, anyone else want to play for Australia? I have to admit, I dont think we have a chance at all in winning this series, however if they play well and to the best of their ability, humble in their actions thats good enough for me. They Australian sporting crowd is fickle in nature, and a bunch of tall poppies, I dont care if the poms win, i’d still rather live here than there putting it frankly!

Five reasons why Australia has no chance in the Ashes

Robbie Deans, this Tour is about winning and redemption

GWS these things do happen, and we got the best possible result from what we had after that, who is to say that we could of made the final despite being good odds to make it, the kiwis were always going to win and 3rd place isn’t a failure by any means. Aussies may consider it a failure, but in a broader context if you were a Welsh or Irish supporter you would be pretty happy with a 3rd place, our Achilles heal is sometimes Wallabies supporters have to manage their expectations.

I too applauded RDs appointment as coach, irrespective of him being from NZ, but cue the likes of Alan Jones and David Campese who have publicly cried sacrilege with having a kiwi as coach of the Wallabies, then note some of the roarers in past threads and comments.

Im not saying his coaching career has been an overall success, my point is that he has probably done as much good as he has missed out on opportunities in retrospect, and that he will by and large be deemed after this series as a success or failure, I think Robbie is as much for redemption in his role as the coach because is by and large sensitive in his efforts as coach, to his players and to the Australian public. Fair to say?
