The problem with the eagles seems to be they dig in and have a crack against the good teams then get absolutely pantsed by the mid to low table teams. Baffling.

With Mitchell, it’s more who’s around him now than anything. Clarko had him as the guy to build a midfield around. He’s not that dynamic like a pendlebury, Dangerfield or bontempelli. He’s an accumulator who thrives in the presence of dynamic midfielders . Which is why he’s doing so well now.

I think we just need to scale back the player power a bit. I don’t agree at all with trading players against their will but at the same time the players have far too much power now. If you want to ‘go home’ ok we’ll find the best deal. Free Agency apparently applies after 8yrs I think it is but all the players seem to think it applies to them now.
