Chris, thanks. Not sure you understand the premise of the article at all. It is about coaches under scrutiny from most scrutinised or under pressure to least. How can Buckley with his “ out of touch “ style be at the bottom??? How can Beveridge who won a flag just five years ago and has them in great shape be at the top?
The coaching scrutiny ladder
Fab Phil, thanks very true about number of coaches at Collingwood, but the ones that are/have been there seem to have to endure a lot.
The coaching scrutiny ladder
Thanks Peter. Yes dead right about frenetic scrutiny of coaches. I think the same is happening with trades- the talk starts earlier and earlier every year !
Buckley for GWS? Could be fit although there has been talk before about him heading into AFL corporate world with some high profile position.
The coaching scrutiny ladder
Slane, Agree ! Not sure how Cameron seems to escape the blowtorch.
The coaching scrutiny ladder
Yeah fair point Gyfox. I just think that PA is a somewhat volatile organisation but going very well at the moment.

Thanks Matth yes you could well be completely correct about bowlers dismissing bunnies. There are so many caveats about all of this. The spin is mixed of the current lot at any rate. Lyon has an average over 30 and Ashwin just over 26
Test batting averages: What’s in a number?
Thanks- yes I have in mind to look at the reverse at some stage
Test batting averages: What’s in a number?
Great article. Despite the closeness in score I found little to be enthused about from a magpie standpoint. Same errors from the same personnel. I think it is time to bite the bullet and play Moore forward. Maybe Keane or Kelly down back when they return?
More of the same for Collingwood
Peter Hi. Yes you are right George Young kicked 8 for the Saints that day.
The greatest Magpies of the last 50 years
I once saw Carman kick 11 in the mud at Moorabbin including 6 in the last quarter
The greatest Magpies of the last 50 years
Thanks agree with all that. Cant help feeling that if the Pies had snagged one premiership in the late 1960’s, early 1970’s that a great era could have beckoned. Then again there were superb Carlton, Richmond and later North Melb and Hawthorn sides

Thanks Peter the scribe, Yes I was torn on Didak and Daisy is a tad lucky but just thought he was more versatile and would add more pace to a somewhat one paced lineup. Totally with you on Cloke he was great in that 2010-2011 period and kicked 6 in the losing qualifying final against Hawthorn in 2012

Only Leon Davis possibly could be in the discussion?
The greatest Magpies of the last 50 years
Don, yes I know- trying to squeeze in players !

Hi. Yes I did agonise over Anthony Rocca. In the end I went for the superior running power and aerobic capacity of Cloke
The greatest Magpies of the last 50 years
Great article
Is this a watershed moment for the Richmond era?
