The thing is the Hussey ave was inflated by county cricket

The best that could only dream: An XI of players who never wore the baggy green

Why not we haven’t had anyone score runs at 6 or 7 for a few years now may as well try and get a few more wickets out of it. I mean Mitch Marsh is now a possible frontline bowler having played 5 tests in Asia for 2 wickets at 114 so anything is possible

Australian Test squad for India: The Roar's reaction

Except he has been picked as a bowling allronder when on Asia he has taken 2 wickets at 114 from 5 tests.

What I think is funny is that Agar with a first class batting average of 26 is being talked about as an opener but O’Keefe with a first class average of 29 is only being talked about as a spinner. I don’t see how Agar bats above O’Keefe in any team you select. Also with Starc averaging 25 in test cricket then he too should be considered a test all rounder. Perhaps though these all make sense only as a unit. While giving away a number 6 batsmen where we have seen very little runs anyway what we could do is have Wade at 6 who averages 38 is first class cricket (more then Maddison) then instead of 1 strong batsmen at 7 then a tail we have a run of bowling allrounders. O’Keefe at 7(Ave 29), Agar at 8(Ave 26), Starc at 9 (Ave 25), Hazelwood at 10 (Ave 16) and Gary at 11 Ave 14 in india meaning we bat deep and get an extra bowler with 2 quicks and 3 spinners

Is Agar a bowling or batting all-rounder?

Yes a chance but currently injured which is why he wasnt considered for Sydney

Is Agar a bowling or batting all-rounder?

Then you would have the Tigers in 2005 the best NRL season ever across the park in terms of quality of football and interestingly also crowd numbers

Are we witnessing the return of ball playing forwards?

Benji to Rugby was a failure but as you said he had a shocker in 2014 as his enthusiasm wained. However I have to say he did cme 2nd in the Dally Ms in his first full season with the Dragons and to me that makes the move itself a success

Five of the NRL's worst career moves

Not sure how JT keeps getting blamed for one of his players assulting him – its like bashing your wife then blaming the wife

Robbie Farah is not a commodity

Farah starting Hooker 1 win 6 losses, Farah not starting hooker 7 wins 4 losses

Robbie Farah has two options - zip it, or go

To be fair almost everyone laughs at the Sharkies – In fact even the Sharkies Captain made that very point only a couple of days ago on the back page the paper

Titans fans won’t Bear north Sydney takeover

Ahh Tom the 70s started 46 years ago almost twiche the 25 years mentioned. 25 years ago is 1990 – When the Broncos were already in the NRL

Big black Bears back on the road: This time on the Gold Coast

As I have already seen my beloved Wests Tigers win a grand final and been to a rugby test in Cardiff

My top 5 although in no particular order

1. Olympic 100m finals
2. Rugby World Cup Final
3. Wimbeldon Mens Final
4.Ashes at Lords from the members
5. ODI world cup final at Eden Gardens or anywhere in India for that matter

My ultimate sporting bucket list: In top five format, of course

To be fair though he is a father with a wife and a disabled child wanting to be near family, that is a much better reason then an 18 yr old kids

Ricky is repairing the Raiders rot that started with his sacking

Well I know my club the Tigers have visited something like 16000 school kids, held a fan day at ANZ, open training sessions across the nation, sent a wide variety of emails, produced a crap load of website content over the summer, continual active prsence across social media, launched a partnerhsip with Beyond Blue that got great news coverage. I am assuming all clubs did similar or better given Tigers are one of the least rescourced, so to me thats a lot of marketing right their

NRL marketing is a myth in the code’s administrative madness

Agreed and most of the reasons crowds are down have been deliberate decisions such as moving the Sunday game to 4pm. Also a lot of crowd changes year by year are driven by which teams are having a good run and which aren’t as some teams crowds are driven more by sucess then others. The best NRL crowds for a single year would be if teams such as the Broncos and Souths were down the bottom while when teams especially the Tigers and Dragons and Eels are near the top as their crowds are more impacted by performance

NRL marketing is a myth in the code’s administrative madness

Really because most billion dollar businesses take a long process to appoint and then have a new CEO in place. Companies that rush the decision end up looking like idiots

NRL marketing is a myth in the code’s administrative madness

I do get to rant. This article had a couple of reasonable points and then you went off tap with a ridiculous rant about Jason Taylor including a variety of statements that were just poorly written bile. If you want to write abuse go to twitter. A poor article and as it’s your second lets only hope if this is the quality it is also your last.

NRL 2016 ladder countdown: Wests Tigers (15th)

I too have a soft spot for ther Titans but that is just a horrible squad. I follow another weak club the Tigers and I still could find room for only Mcqueen and Bird and perhaps McDonald in a weak tiger squad if we were given the whole gold coast starting 13. However I hope they work hard all year. If they work bloody hard they may beat a few teams with more talent

NRL 2016 ladder countdown: Gold Coast Titans (16th)

Containing your distain would indicate that you in any way contained your distain Sheek. I think its clear and soooo boringly obvious to everyone on here that you don’t.

2016: A year of living dangerously for Super Rugby

And when no sydney teams make the so called champions league – Australian rugby will be dead

2016: A year of living dangerously for Super Rugby

Agree if ANdrew McDOnald was younger these days with the focus on needing an allrounder he would have played 50 tests .

Australia's unlucky XI

A low point even for a sport that has sadly had a lot in the last few years here in Aus. Quade Cooper is 7s this weekend for most casual fans and for him not to play is ridiculous. The ARU should either hang their head in shame or hang the coach out to dry

No room for Quade Cooper in Australian squad for Sydney Sevens

All I can say is I hope the authorities are looking at the betting trends. Their was something rotten about last night. ALways love to see the Aussies win but some of those dismissals were a little too easy and convenient

HIGHLIGHTS: Indian batting collapse hands Aust ODI win

You don’t think he is a proper batsmen. He has a first class average of 45 when players are being picked and touted for the test side with averages in the 30s (S Marsh, M Marsh, Klinger). He is as others have mentioned unlucky with some injuries. He should be in the T20 side, he should be in the ODI squad and he should be on our next test tour as the back up batsmen

Chris Lynn to India? KP pours cold water on Australia's Lynnsanity

Thanks for bringing some crazy into the comments – never enough crazy in comments sections

A league of our own: Australia should pull the pin on Super Rugby
