I would say they have gone light on both of them because it is their first offence.

The Match Review Committee has hit Brown with a grade three dangerous contact charge which could see him rubbed out for four weeks after leading with the knees in his contact with the Roosters’ Drew Hutchison, which led to the star being taken to hospital.
If Brown takes the early guilty plea he’ll sit out three weeks but if he chooses to fight the charge at the NRL judiciary and loses he’ll be suspended for a month.

Well Townsend has played 5/8th occasionally so I would say Dearden can play halfback.

Well according to reports he was waiting for a offer from the Broncos but they kept putting it of and he was getting offers from other clubs so rather waiting any longer he took the Cowboys offer.

Interesting. Tom Dearden has signed a 3 year contract with the Cowboys totalling 1.1 million starting next year. I think there is going to be a big exodus of players from the Broncos.
