“Bart gets to ride up front today because he’s a good guy at sports” - fan of anything and everything there is to do with sports. Main loves are the NBA, NFL, NRL and of course Rugby. From New Zealand so have a tall poppy perspective on everything and a bit of an underdog complex as well. Trying to provide a mix of humour and insight in everything I do.

Agreed, you are doing well when your keeper can bat like that!
Advance Australia unfair: The most dominant Test team of all time
Cheers! It should say most dominant 11 rather than regular 🙂 definitely an amazing squad. To have the depth to regularly leave our players like Hodge and Macgill. Unreal
Advance Australia unfair: The most dominant Test team of all time
Agreed. It would have been exciting to see them try win the ashes in England. What a series that would have been!
Advance Australia unfair: The most dominant Test team of all time
Agreed Peter. What a talented bunch they were. Unbelievable!
Advance Australia unfair: The most dominant Test team of all time
I did attend the 2015 final. Never felt that electricity in a stadium before the first ball, only for McCullum to get out ball 3 and everything deflate!
Advance Australia unfair: The most dominant Test team of all time
The idea of pacific teams in the competition is exciting. Here’s hoping they receive the right about of backing and can field competitive lineups. I wonder if it will take the fancy of certain players to play for their true homeland similarly to what has happened in Rugby League with Tonga and Samoa etc. It would be great for the game if so!
Five talking points from Super Rugby AU and Aotearoa
Need the Guru next to my name 🙂 we shall see! Long season ahead but some
Of these teams are who we thought they were
NRL pre-season power rankings: Bottom eight
Unfortunately this is the problem with a end of season voting system taking place rather than say a game point system like the AFL and NRL employ. Easy to get caught up in the narrative and buy in or out of a certain player. Doesn’t seem right for Jokic to be favourite with the nuggets in 5th place while the bucks are in 3rd. Embiid was a shoe in before the injury but now who knows. If the bucks keep up their current form, there shouldn’t be any reason why he shouldn’t be considered.
The mind-blowing reason Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t win MVP
The All Blacks are salivating at this team. Bledisloe safe for another year
My mid-season Wallaby 23
Cheers Sherry, appreciate the comments. I love watching Nick when he’s on; the crowd is pumped and the game turns to an amazing spectacle. Wish he could turn that fire on all the time! Will keep Lloyd Harris on my mind!
Men's tennis is dying - there's one man who must save the game
Mmm yep wish he had the fire in him, would be an amazing watch
Men's tennis is dying - there's one man who must save the game
Yea it will, I don’t think he’s up to it either but think if he did win a grand slam it would polarise the world. Going to be an interesting five years
Men's tennis is dying - there's one man who must save the game
I’ll be very intrigued to see who does become the next in men’s Tennis. Always a new one comes along but he may be in diapers..
Men's tennis is dying - there's one man who must save the game
Surely Bevan gets a look in in the backline
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
How good will Panthers-Storm be! Round 3 will make things interesting that’s for sure. Plenty on the line for a few teams but the Broncos definitely need the win, those next fixtures are a murderers row for them!
Eight talking points from NRL Round 2
Agreed Kent. I was perplexed at the time and would be if they actually agreed! The team is all a hypothetical but yes, would be a disaster!
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
Munster has good size to transition to 12. I love a 10-12 playmaking combination!
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
Oh whoops! My bad Dom. Cheers bro, glad you enjoyed it!
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
On ya Birdy, it’s definitely a hypothetical what if bit of fun: hope you enjoyed!
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
Agreed, I think he has the attitude of a hooker in a smaller package. Would need to beef up considerably to have any real chance.
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
Would of loved to see Thurston play! I feel like JWH would be suspended at the first ruck?!?! But yea he would be a weapon on the blindside!
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
I didn’t know Papalii was 4 foot 5? Carl Hayman who I compared Haas too is also 1.94m, his scrum partner most regularly was Greg Somerville who was 1.85m, roughly the same height as Papalii. Ponga on the other hand is the same weight as Beauden Barrett and taller than Damien Mackenzie, they both seem to go alright at fullback
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
Looks good Big Diesel! I’d go TJ at 9 for me as he’s such a good defender for a halfback in union and would be great darting off a play the ball. Farrell and Mounga would be a dominant halves combo!
My NRL first XV to take on union in a crossover game
Really wish there was tv from the time of Bradman. Would of loved to have seen him play.
