Thanks for alerting me to Ruiz. Interesting guy. And best of luck with the busier docket – I’m looking at similar this year at least.

'The putative heir or the actual king': Ireland and France think they're the world's best - the Six Nations opener could settle it

Magnificent writing! Cogent, comprehensive, insightful, funny, so very literate and – maybe best of all – opinionated. Thank you, Harry. Your best ever.

'The putative heir or the actual king': Ireland and France think they're the world's best - the Six Nations opener could settle it

How do you watch a podcast? :–))

'What the hell is going on?': Jilted Wallaby reveals Jones chaos and tells coaching flop to 'at least be honest'

Thanks Geoff, go well. I look forward to doing it all again in 2024, but maybe with a little less melodrama.

The 2023 Wrap: Man who was 'dropped from heaven' and the abject s--t show that followed in his wake

Thanks, Harry. Succinct analysis, cogent examples.

Eight crucial lessons Wallabies must learn from the RWC quarter-finalists

That’s a beautiful essay, thank you Geoff. And, yes, “a glutton of administrators” is a perfectly appropriate and accurate collective noun. I shall share this with my FB friends, if I may. Speaking of other sites, I saw someone masquerading as you elsewhere on the planet. Same mellifluous prose, too … that AI stuff is astonishing! 😂

The World Cup Wrap: France 2023 got a final befitting the host nation - imperfect, baffling and historic

The world’s longest-ever resignation letter is finally submitted.

Eddie Jones quits as Wallabies coach - 'Sometimes you have to eat s--t for others to eat caviar'

I dunno if there’s a game, Ken. I’m waiting for the wife to ask that same question so I can go through the motions of looking up the fixtures list for her. 😔

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

However disruptive Decent’s scoop may have been at the time, it’s a reporter’s job to report the news without fear or favour. Indeed, there should be more of it not less.

COMMENT: RA wanted a Pitbull to bring back some snarl to the Wallabies - Eddie rolled over for a tummy tickle

You want to appoint a bigger egomaniac than Eddie to direct the whole show? Who would be his Nienbar?

'Keep thinking about that': Eddie's ONE great regret in WC shambles and sliding doors moment that cost QF place

'If you have any poo, fling it now': One final indignity as Eddie's absolute mess of a World Cup campaign nears the end

@TryHard Very well said.

The Wrap: With Wallabies done and dusted in 15 miserable days, who do we trust to take Australian rugby forward?

@FootyFranks And rebrand the team the Kangaroos?

The Wrap: With Wallabies done and dusted in 15 miserable days, who do we trust to take Australian rugby forward?

Thanks Geoff, as astute and lightly lyrical as ever. Surely, surely, if McLennan had any integrity he’d sack Jones with 3 months’ notice – today – then resign himself – today! (But what would Peter V’Landys do?)

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Gordon benched as Eddie banks on Ben Donaldson, star returns for do-or-die RWC clash

I agree Petaia owes the team a big one but not sure he has it in him. My sense lately as that he’s always been playing on the fumes of highlight reels and I wonder if he has it in him to deliver a complete performance, let alone become a dominant player of his era.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Return of the 'Woeful Wallabies' after 'coaching failure in heat of battle' - and how high can the Fijians fly?

Thanks Geoff, I’m really enjoying your reportage from France. What next for Eddie Jones? Would Dave Rennie have done any worse at the RWC? (I doubt it.) Rennie might not have brought on so much youth to slaughter, but may well have gone relatively deep on the back of other team attributes he was fostering. Speaking of youth, can Carter Gordon be expected to line up against Wales? Surely not. I wonder if a big forward Will retire from the cup, allowing Bernard Foley to arrive from the UK 48 hours later (or even Quade Cooper for the added melodrama), then run on at Lyon with Andrew Kellaway at 15 and Ben Donaldson on the bench covering 10 and 15. It’s all on the line now, and if the WBs lose to Wales it wouldn’t surprise to see Jones make a quick exit from RA.

The Wrap: Group C fast becoming everyone’s favourite - except for the Wallabies as early flight home looms large

What a treat to read Spiro Zavos again! With a typically elegant conclusion. Thanks.

SPIRO ZAVOS: The best team in the tournament, not necessarily the best team, will win the 2023 RWC

😂 😂 😂

The Wrap: Magical World Cup moments and memories that left an indelible mark, and the promise of so much more

Looks like Dan Sheehan will be fit for most of Ireland’s RWC games. Ligament injury in the foot.

Packs Power Rankings: Boks' 'bomb squad' edges France, injured Wallaby who Eddie can't replace

I’m channelling Steve Waugh today. 😁

ANALYSIS: 'Time to make the tough call' - South Africa raised the stakes, and the All Blacks folded

Not to contradict any of the analysis and insights from you and Dr Parkes, Highlander, but I had the unquantifiable sense from the start that the ABs just weren’t completely switched on. The Boks on the other hand played out of their skins and, in doing so, may have just dropped the World Cup.

ANALYSIS: 'Time to make the tough call' - South Africa raised the stakes, and the All Blacks folded

“If” … Bodger, that’s a very big “If”. Have you seen him do *any* of those things in rugby, ever?
