Coming around the wicket Starc full delivery angles like it’s going to hit middle stump, instead it holds it’s line, beating Amla’s bat and crashing into his off stump. Tremendous bowling from Starc, is that the breakthrough that will kick start things?

We’re back for the final session on Day 2. South Africa have lost only one wicket today, but they’ve only added 114 runs to their overnight total. A dominant session from either team now could swing the direction of this test.

Again not many runs scored in the session but the Proteas won’t mind keeping the Aussies wicketless. Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc all put the ball in good areas and got it to reverse swing, but thanks to a lot of guts and a little luck South Africa trail by 90 runs with 8 wickets still in hand.

Fortune favours Elgar, as an outside edge flies through the gap at third slip! Elgar hung his bat out to a full delivery that was moving away, but he gets lucky with the boundary bringing up his half century. Like most of his innings, it hasn’t been pretty but it’s been bloody important.
