thats why Lazza the wallabies play test matches against the All blacks in Hong Kong and Tokyo. every sport has its strengths and the ARU can make good coin playing in these cities whereas the NRL might not and AFL definately cannot.

i think diving in AFL has a place. I understand why afl players take dives. firstly the game is mostly a non contact sport so by diving it gives an attacking player the chance of scoring a free kick.

living in Sydney, I actually don’t know one person who watches the game or attends any swans matches. In fact I would go as far as saying that most people I know either dislike the game or have absolutely no interest in it.

In my 15 years in the Royal Australian Navy, Rugby Union ang Golf were the games of the Australian Defence Force. I was fortunate to represent the RAN and the ADF in rugby and we travelled the world playing military nations in rugby. Funnily enough the US marine corp were the 2nd best team we played after the Kiwis. Australian rules was played by the few which were mainly expat Victorians and Tassie/SA boys and it was mainly a kick around amongst themselves because we were abroad alot and obviously people overseas had no idea or interest in the game. The brainwashed Victorians of today are rewriting the history books and it is easy for them to do it because they have a million plus Vics brainwashed.

Crazy horse, disagree with you to an extent my friend. Victorians are taught how to think and to never speak out of tune against anything AFL. They taught about blind faith and never question the AFL. It really is a brain washed state.

gazza, weather I like AFL, rugby or tiddley winks is irrelevent my friend. What annoys me here was Reds (esp) and others that a generation is learning about sacrifice from watching a footy game. I couldn’t care less what code does what, but I get the impression that the AFL and NRL (to a lesser extent) are exploiting the memory of all those who have sacrificed their lives in the ANZAC history just to tie some kind of historical context to your game.

BTW, my definition of sacrifice on ANZAC day is for example a nurse working a shift in the burns unit while everyone else is having a good time at the footy
