LOL, scapegoats are always a sure remedy for woe

Horwill set for drop to Wallabies bench

Benching can be used to manage players who are carrying niggles. IMO Horwill’s injury from last year still bother’s him to some extent. I don’t think he has regained 100% endurance, strength, power or confidence. I reckon Horwill needs a bit of a break.

It confuses me that Link is happy to drop anyone but those in the front row and back row when these have been the focus of our issues.

Jutise, I think Pyle was not considered for selection due to injury.

If Simmons played #8, we’d end up with the same shit lock combination we had last weekend.

Maybe the drop in refereeing standard is in preparation of the IRB giving the tier two nations a leg up.

Who's up for an upset in November Tests?

Is Juan Martin Hernandez Lobbe the love child of Juan Martin Hernandez (the fullback) and Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe (the flanker)?

These names are a handful for us in anglo-saxon countries, though I’m sure the Latinos get confused with all the Joneses in the Welsh team too.

In most rucks there are indiscrections that are not penalised as they have little effect on the outcome of the ruck. Players off their feet is the big one, if a penalty was given every time a player’s knee of arm touched the ground or rested on the tackled player, there would be a whistle at every ruck. The other biggie is players keeping their hand on the ball to stop their support players accidently toeing it as they clean out. Technically illegal but thankfully let go.

A lot of my frustrations come from being able to see what the referee blew the penalty for but failing to see indiscrections that preceded the penalised offence. Eg player penalised for holding on to the pill where there is a player off their feet tryhing to pinch it.

There IS grey area in the ruck
