Almost the same here , Blink. But what i did – and do in similar circumstances – is turn off the tv but keep the AwFL website open on my phone and check the score occasionally while doing something else. I had an inkling Freo would come back as nearly all the scoring had been at one end and they were kicking that way in the last quarter.

Footy Fix: How Freo (nearly) Collingwooded Collingwood - and exposed the Pies' hidden Achilles heel

““inner-city latte sipping” – getting your insults from the Murdoch press?”
For most things wrong with this country I’m blaming The Lying Rodent John Howard. Whoever coined the phrase first, Naughty’s use of it was about as unoriginal as you can get.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 11: Dreamtime arrives - but will the Tigers have anyone left to play?

ok , Dorkhorn may be “just a joke,” but gosh, it’s a pretty poor one best left out i reckon.
And much as i’d like to see them win this one i wouldn’t be going on the wins against the hardly formidable Roos, Dogs and Saints. They lost against Port by going on the defensive too early and having no defender on the goal line . Young inexperienced side now , might make the final eight next year.

I wouldn’t be surprised if history repeats either. He already misses family and friends in Tongala.
Plenty of players drafted by interstate clubs have eventually wanted to return home. He’s on a three year contract now , so if he doesn’t want to extend that there’ll be a clue.

Big fish, small pond: A sponsorship goldmine awaits Harley Reid - he'd be mad to ever leave the Eagles

And the article comes close to implying only one side had to contend with a greasy ball , obviously not the case. Neither does having to handle a slippery ball come any easier by having to deal with it more often.

Footy Fix: If there's such a thing as a meaningless 64-point win over a top-two team... the Suns just found it

That’s close to unbelievable, Don. Maybe the Westralian should get “context check” as exercise would have passed spell check. Or employ sub-editors to proof read like real newspapers used to do. Problem for Kerry Stokes is you have to pay them. And he can’t do that AND pay millions backing libel case losers , lol.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 10: Is this the week the tipping nightmare ends at last?

Not convinced by the “may or may not ” bit. Suspect it’s only one of them, lol. I once had a woman ask me for my number. I didn’t ask her for hers ‘coz I thought she’d ring me. But I was wrong. And I think Essendon will go deep into the Finals. Hope to be wrong about that too.

Footy Fix: Essendon have arrived... and it's time we all started getting absolutely terrified

Although you’re one of the few who tipped them correctly ,they’re the Hawks. Learn to spell and leave the cheap unoriginal insults out of it. Then you won’t look like a Naughty Little Boy.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 9: Has Bevo just arrived at the last chance saloon?

Loved the way Geelong supporters booed Port after their side lost. I think the term “UnAustralian,” is over used so in this case I’ll just say poor losers. And a pretty crappy act all round.

'Make decisions now, apologise later': Ken Hinkley and Port Adelaide are heading for disaster

Whose ring?

AFL News: Collingwood calls for AFL to introduce premiership rings, Prestia eyes return for Tigers

My Collingwood supporter friends had a black and white mongrel dog so no need for a scarf. Her name was Maggie .

I can’t even understand them when they’re shouting. Not that i want to. I am partially deaf from working with noisy machinery before everyone wore ear muffs. Sent me partially deaf and I have hearing aids. I take them out at the football and the noise is still too loud. Can’t imagine what it’s like for people with good hearing but not about to put my h’ing aids in to find out.

Nah , should be “Will I ever see your face again?” with appropriate crowd participation.

Would the players actually wear them all the time? Or just at footy functions ? Plenty of blokes don’t like rings or any jewelry. $50K each is absurd too. $10 K absolute max IF it happens.

This is a good example how a spur of the moment action has unintended consequences. The suggestion Higgins should have let go of Allir’s arm so he could break his fall is unrealistic as it all happened so quickly. Looks to me Higgins tried to get his arm around Allir for an effective tackle but couldn’t make it and just hung on to his arm as that’s all he had hold of and had no idea in that nano-second his head would hit the ground. I suspect the three match suspension is a result of the concussion . I don’t think Higgins was careless – he was just a desperate small player tackling a bigger one , getting it wrong with an unfortunate result. (I’m not a St. Kilda supporter.)

@ RT. It’s all opinion though , isn’t it ? I like her voice and her commentary . Doesn’t mean either of us are right or wrong , just means we have differing perspective.

Six Points: Channel 7's commentary, the AFL's most underrated coach, and what on earth is wrong with a draw?

BT’s hysterical over-hyping of just about everything is so galling. A good low pass is “genius,” a bit of push and shove is gleefully extolled in the hope a punch or three get thrown, he goes on and on about crowd numbers , and that Roaming Brian nonsense is total b.s. At least we can avoid that last one with a push of the button.

Not true , but your comment is comic relief.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

This is what he said,@ Cinderella’s Big Score …

In the garden of Eden stood Adam
Calmly surveying his madam
Though loud was his mirth
For he knew that on Earth
There were only two balls
And he had ’em.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

Where’s he playing now , Cindy? I thought he was at Essendon VFL but isn’t on their list. My C’wood supporter mate was upset when the Pies dumped him and I was disappointed when my Hawks did the same. Seems like a good bloke too . Hope he gets another chance if he wants one.

Gave you a like for your comment , but please get yourself a diff. screen name. That one you’re using is totally off , in fact just as bad as Finlayson’s slur.

AFL News: Calls for Finlayson to cop ban for 'unacceptable' homophobic slur, Port coaching change on the way

That’s funny , @XI. Not that long ago the word “queer” was considered an insult to gays, and they didn’t like it. Got quite upset in fact. Now gays use it to describe themselves as you do. I wonder if in time the word Finlayson used will be acceptable . I am old ,and remember the time when newspapers wouldn’t / couldn’t even use the word bloody. Now you see it in print and online all the time , as well as the four letter words for poo and horizontal folk dancing . Times change, and these days quicker than they used to.

@tufanoo. Hence RT’s confusion. Matthew Richardson is RichO , not Ritchie. All of us who suffer through the commentary of the lamentable Brian Taylor know that only too well.

How Tasmania's AFL dream could be killed by a $750 million dilemma

Please let me finish your sentence ,” But what if the margin was closer” and the team behind had all the momentum? Complicates it even more, lol.
