I am proud to be a White South African, 77. And Boer. Not Boar. Get your spelling right

Who, what or where is Aotearoa?
Last time I looked NZ was a White Country called New Zealand.

I am 77, and have never been to Melbourne.
Typical jealous, envious Storm pile-on. The only one that lacks class is David Gallop. What a nasty miserable piece of work he is. Meanwhile the Storm keep winning. Love it.

Windhoek Lager. Lekker.

Fresh meat: Loftus Versfeld smells like an abattoir. Tom Hooper and co were skewered and thrown on the braai

I know I am a proud South African, 77, and forever a Bok supporter, but I have to commend you on this lovely article. Yes. Going to Loftus when the Bokke are due to play, is a whole day event.
You encapsulated the day beautifully. I love it. Thank you. The world is a beautiful place when the Bokke play at Loftus.

Amazing how the Wallabies always talk up a good game – until———-. BOKKE.

BOKKE!

'Our plan from the outset': Springboks roll out second-string side for Wallabies with 13 stars to miss Test

I am South African, 77, and have been a passionate Bok supprter since the age of 2 or 3. Springbok rugby from the 50,s when I was old enough to watch, has always been based on the tactic of “subdue and penetrate”. Quite frankly we dont care how we win, except that we WIN. That is the Springbok way.

'Easier if you're an Aussie to coach Australia' - Jake White says Eddie will turn Wallabies into winners

Have to say that as a South African, 77, and passionate Bok supporter, I really like Eddie Jones.
I am sad to say that In South Africa the Wallabies in recent years don`t have near the same level of respect and gravitas as the All Blacks.
As an aside, I watched the 1963 Wallabies play the Bokke in my hometown of Port Elizabeth, and was privileged to see the great Ken Cachpole at scrumhalf, and Captain, John Thornett. Both brilliant players. What a great Wallaby team they were.
The 1963 Wallabies gained huge respect in South Africa, and drew the test series 2-2.

I am South African, and 77 now. The Dragons are my third team after the Storm and Dolphins. I have become a passionate rugby league fan after decades of playing and watching rugby union. The Dragons coaching saga, heaps unfair pressure on Anthony Griffin in my view. Griffin seems a good, decent and honest man, who needs all his players, not only Ben Hunt, to get into the grind. The pressure on Griffin, even before this season kicked off, has been unfairly huge. I hope in the remaining games the Dragons players can find the steel to win games, although I fear that Griffin won`t make the 2024 season. The media will no doubt celebrate. Sad.

Andy Marinos was a darn good centre for the Natal Sharks and the Western Province Stormers.

Ponga has always been way over rated. He has perhaps one good game in 10. When he is not injured. I hope he is not chosen for Queensland Origin. Ponga is mediocre at best.

Knightmare: Ponga fails to impress in Newcastle horror show

I am South African, 77, never been to Melbourne and love the Storm, almost as much as I love my beloved Bokke. Great win that Big Nelson is staying for another 4 years. And great win by the Storm last night. Gotta love the Storm and Craig Bellamy.

Nelson got Dad's blessing before he died to make Wallabies switch but Kiwi prop opts to re-sign with Storm

Ag please. Spare me the melodrama and crocodile tears. We have many players better than Kolisi. The Bokke will be better without him.

Rugby News: 'Pray with us' - Springboks face massive RWC blow, ex-Wallaby named RA president

As a South African, 78 now, it was the Melbourne Storm of Billy Slater, Cam Smith and Cronk that had me fixated when I mistakenly switched channels to rugby league, and blew my mind at their sheer brilliance. I have never been to Melbourne, but watching the Storm weave their magic all those years ago and again last night, converted me to Rugby League. I dont even watch rugby any longer. The Storm and Craig Bellamy are indeed a special team. Last night the Storm`s all – in defence of ” one for all, all for one,” was superb. I love the Storm.

I am South African, 77, grew up with a burning desire to be a Springbok. Rugby was my life. Rugby was my world. The Springboks were the the pinnacle of sporting excellence.
Yet today, I find rugby so boring. Rugby League is exciting, fast, tough, non-stop and vibrant. Except for the World Cup to watch my beloved Springboks, I no longer watch rugby. Even though my blood is green.

On a global scale, Australian rugby's war with rugby league is meaningless

I am certainly NOT a Manly or Souths supporter. But the wrong team won tonight.

Exactly right 100%. I was willing Parra to go for a field goal in the last 10 minutes. great game. Happy for Parra.

ANALYSIS: Game of the Year already? Parra on the board after epic Panthers win that had just about everything

I am neutral, so no bias. But it seems to me that Josh Hodgson is too old and too slow. Perhaps he may be OK as an assistant coach, but not as a player.

ANALYSIS: Kennedy scores hat trick as Sharks win shootout to condemn Parra to 0-2 start - and it could be 0-5 soon

I am a passionate Melbourne Storm supporter, and my second team for some reason, has always been the Dragons.Unfortunately they have now slipped to third. My second team is now the Dolphins.

The Tigers remain pathetic. Can`t believe Benjy gave up a prime gig at Fox League to go to these deadbeats.

Really! On what planet do you live? A pain injection is just that. It is NOT a stimulant of any sort. Brilliant Munster and brilliant Storm.

'I’ve never seen bone sticking out before': Munster out for 2-3 weeks after finger surgery, Coates sidelined

As a South African, I love the Storm. No matter the big exodus of quality players, the Storm always show guts, fight, and never give up. The Storm sit next to my beloved Springboks as my all-time favourite team. No guts, no glory. That is the Storm.

ANALYSIS: Storm prove why they're Round 1 masters - by taking nothing for granted in gritty Parra win

I am South African, 77, and remember going to watch Australia play our Sprinboks in a Test at St Georges Park in my hometown of Port Elizabeth in 1957. Now THAT was an Australian cricket team.
Jimmy Burke, Colin McDonald, Richie Benaud, Alan Davidson, Wally Grout, Ken Mackay, Bobby Simpson, Peter Burge, Les Favell, Ian Meckiff, Lindsay Kline, Barry Jarman, Neil Harvey etc. I am proud to have watched them play for almost 5 days.
Bloody tough, hard, marvels. The best Australian team I have ever seen. Compared to the pathetic pansies in today`s Australian team who don,t even deserve the Baggy Green. The only exception was the late, great Shane Warne. Shane was the best. How Shane would have loved playing with those hard nosed 1957 Australians.
