Are we witnessing a loss of form from Tedesco? The last few times I’ve seen him, he just seems out of sorts and not the champion we know him to be. Same goes for the Chooks actually, but they do have a lot of big names on the sideline.

I wonder if it’s not time to overhaul how the concussion replacement system works. Perhaps the reserve grade team travels with first grade and provides a like-for-like substitute for concussions. For example, if Ponga goes for an HIA, the 5/8 for Newcastle reserves comes straight on. It could also benefit young players who get a shot at the big time when they otherwise would not. We saw something like that in the cricket, with Warner being subbed out for another batsman. Just an idea…
