Great article Stuart.
Does the NRL keep a record of players international eligibility throughout all levels of the game?
Surely there are quality players falling through the cracks.
A great opportunity to grow the game and international goodwill.

It's all Greek to Georgie: Steve Georgallis and a rugby league weekend in Rhodes

There are many factors that influence pitch quality.
1) Ground sub surface. Soil profile and drainage.
2) Climatic and microclimate conditions. Atmospheric conditions and unique ground characteristics including airflow and light dispersion.
3) Grass species. Wear/disease tolerance.
4) Scheduling. Time for repairs, maintenance and growth.

Events that WRECK a ground surface.
Poor scheduling.
Back to back events
Concerts/motorcross/monster trucks.
Lack of time given for preparation.
Weather including flooding.

Is Docklands the right venue for our biggest World Cup qualifier?

Agree with your general sentiments. I am often caught changing between Eurosport and SBS. However, I think that the SBS cycling team has a better relationship with its stakeholders than the SBS football team which leads to better outcomes for all concerned.

I do suggest SBS bring in a third member to join the commentary team to lead an occasional contrarian discussion to bring some balance to the coverage. Anthony Tan?

Aussies deserve balanced coverage of the Tour de France

The NRL has 2 choices to restore the integrity on this issue
1)Publish all players salaries and benefits included 3rd party payments.
2)Allow players to be paid unlimited salaries however the club must break evan after all income and expenditure.

The current situation limits players income and forces clubs to look for other less efficient means to improve teams performance such as coach’s and facilities.

Is any player really worth one million dollars?

Gone are the days when talent, hard work and results get you a drive in f1.
Today it requires $$$$$$$$$ and some diplomacy. There are a couple of drivers in the field who have already seen their better days.
Massa
Raikkonen
Button?

It's time to re-evaluate Sergio Perez

I do not condone what Eddie has said.
However, tonight I heard the commentary from the announcer when Eddie participated in the same event.
Very enlightening.

Sport and our attitudes towards women

I do not condone what Eddie has said.
However, tonight I heard the commentary from the announcer when Eddie participated in the same event.
Very enlightening.

It's not Caroline Wilson, but Eddie, James and Danny who need to go

The sport needs integrity which can be obtained by the following changes
1)Full disclosure for all player payments.
2)Fair and equitable draw for all teams.
I)Full home/away draw or lottery or bidding process to determine opposing team and time of game.
II)International/origin break for ALL teams.
3)Review the draw for the finals as the current top 8 schedule rewards mediocrity and results in the games during the regular season taking leas importance.
4)Full disclosure of all players injuries.
5)Full disclosure of all team changes after the naming of teams on Tuesday.
I)Final team to be named before midday on game day.
II)Expand playing team squad to 18 with a substitute available during matches to replace injured players.

Rugby league can learn from the English Premier League

Finish all 12 man controversy and introduce a “specialist” fielding 12th man to all test matches.

The Liebke Ratings: New Zealand vs Australia second Test

Time to dispense “friendly” t20 internationals.

Play t20 in domestic cricket only.

Stage a “world cup” every 2 years.

This would allow Australias best players to play at the business end of our big bash and it would allow more preparation for test matches/odi overseas.

There's method in the selection madness
