The wanna-be gangsta has now gone to the depths of suggesting Rugby League fans are beneath him because they have jobs. What a grub. Hope the Blues keep picking him.

'Chill, all you idiots have work tomorrow': Luai takes aim at critics as Fittler reveals Blues star copped death threats

No, it doesn’t need saving. Saving from what? It is the premier form of the game and the one that players hold in highest esteem.

But to paraphrase your whine; The Poms are going over board and the Aussies are very naughty for pointing it out. Gotcha.

'It might not survive': Bazball is a cult and Poms should be embarrassed about claiming they're Test cricket's saviours

Looking forward to see who Annersley sacks this week. Got to be the Video Ref for the second week in a row. The head butt knock on that cost the Walsh try was the worst of the night. Just amazing that he could view that and say the Bronco lost the ball forward.

We need a bunker to review the bunker “howlers”….Well we do, but it comes on Monday after the game has been ruined.

ANALYSIS: The Broncos learn the level from Cleary and the Panthers - after one of the most bizarre Bunker decisions of all time

Agreed, Luai contributed nothing except missed tackles. Zero threat all night.

Luai was virtually unsighted in the game apart from when he was getting bumped off missed tackles or shoving the touchie. Hynes is so far ahead of what Luai has to offer. But having said that I and most Qlders would be delighted to see Luai there for Game 1.

Origin teams: Who the stats say Brad Fittler should be picking for Blues in Game 1

😊 Kirwin was rubbish. He was just a media play for a new club. Halligan was also poor apart from goal kicking…With the kicking these days, Halligan would never make a NRL squad let alone get playing minutes. Tuqiri and Falou on the bench… 😂 There are very few transitions from League fullstop. Because (in Australia at least) why would someone playing week to week in the top line comp in the world choose to go to rugby???? Zero profile and zero prospects of success for obvious reasons, ie. all the talent is playing League. But yes, if and when a Union player comes up with tackling skills, they are a chance to do well in League. As we all know and was proven in the Clash of the Codes, sensibly the only time Union would allow such an event, there is a vast gulf between the attacking and defensive skills of the respective codes.

League fires back: RTS abandons All Black dream as resurgent Warriors announce star's return to NRL

The notion that a try under the posts is easier than though the hands out wide is a bizarre take….It is far more difficult to score through the more compressed and more effective defenders.

Inequality of the conversion a gloriously flawed part of rugby codes - no need to change rules for women’s kicks

There is no inherent unfairness of the conversion.

I watched fox and saw those angles. Cool conspiracy theory…

ANALYSIS: Dolphins give Souths scare, but Walker and Mitchell can't be stopped as Bunnies start to look scary

100% 😂 Open both eyes GB.

Disagree. His arse was clearly on the line. And the try before wasn’t a try either as you know. Massive blunders turned the game. And then to compound it, a dodgy penalty gifted Souths 2 points to extend the unearned lead even further.

I have no dog in this particular fight, but that game was utterly butchered by referee/bunker errors. Both Rabbits second half tries before the sin bin were wrong and completely turned the game. Has Annersley come out with the apology yet?

This article is irony overload. The Author is partaking in precisely what he accuses Haydos of. So many words to say you don’t like him criticising Pat.

Hey, Hey it’s Hayden: Former opener’s boorish commentary style from a bygone era should stay there

If we could all just hold hands, there would be peace on earth.

Seriously, just ditch the themed rounds except for Women in League. That one has merit on the dual fronts of recognition of women’s impact on/importance to footy at all levels, and is also a key cohort the game must attract for the longevity of the NRL.

Remember it was the Manly marketing clowns that tried this rubbish on during what was Women in League round….

If you celebrate everything, you're celebrating nothing: NRL must show us respect and shut up about Respect Round

The only surprise with Renshaw re-joining the team is the timing. Of course he will be going to India and England. This was never in doubt. The investment in him means that Harris is not in the calculations. Should Warner retire, Renshaw moves straight to that slot. Those claiming that having Harris as 12th man is evidence of him being preferred are way off the mark.

Renshaw's middle-order selection is from left field but it's right call as Aussies look to future

Agreed. This is an article looking for the opportunity to draw (incorrectly) the Moneyball comparison…

Jackson Hastings, Brodie Croft & 'the team of misfits’: How one Super League club is creating real-life rugby league Moneyball

“Many have taken baseball’s focus on data and extrapolated that to suggest that data was the key point, the actual main message was about market inefficiencies, who was under-valued and who was over-valued, and where smarts could overcome spending power.

Data was the medium that Oakland used to parse that, but it was not the method.”

This is a misinterpretation of what Moneyball was about. It was absolutely about the data and specifically understanding where the traditional stats used as measures of performance did not actually correlate with winning games. This mis-application of stats could then be used to understand where incorrect valuations of players existed. It was entirely the method.

I’d recommend having a listen to episode 523 of Freakonomics Radio where Michael Lewis discusses the book and theory in depth (among other things). He also opines the incorrect use of “moneyball” in precisely the way you have in this article.

El Masri at 4 is ludicrous. Obviously valuing his kicking rather than wing ability. Maybe makes lower end of top 20 for longevity, but does not belong in the company of the other top 10.

25 in 25: Best winger of NRL era - Morris, Foxx, Sailor, Hazem, Blacklock, Folau, Johnston, Tuqiri?

You wouldn’t have a clue about how low they stooped. That aside, why are people such as yourself unable to discuss things without stepping into absurd fallacies like you have done. Supporting the act of Young does not equate to supporting the act of Finch. Yes, yes, you were just asking the question…..with the intent of verballing someone that clearly didn’t make that suggestion.

Dragons boss falls on his sword: Young resigns due to fallout from Finch support letter

No he said losing the job was an over reaction. Why lie?

Of course it is no surprise. They are long term family friends. Cool sleuthing Sherlock…

Dragons boss falls on his sword: Young resigns due to fallout from Finch support letter

What boys have supported him apart from Young? You are inventing a narrative.

Dragons boss falls on his sword: Young resigns due to fallout from Finch support letter

This is not a tradition. The tradition in Rugby League is the player who is playing a position on the day, wears the number corresponding with that position. For some reason, the organisers chose to move away from that sensible tradition.

Foxx magic steals show but DCE 'mixed bag' as Kangaroos launch title defence with emphatic Fiji win

What doesn’t make sense is the supposed reasons you include for the continuity of numbering. Those things cause no issues for media or spectators. Why on earth would Mal name 1-17 when he has a touring party that is going to vary from game to game. No, the issue is the nonsense rule by the organisers.

Yes, they are all equally average teams. Yet in the RLWC we have some extraordinarily skilful teams.
