You have to feel for the Titans. Paying $1m per annum and Fifita takes under an and leaves. How do the lower ranked/less wealthy clubs attract top talent if mega dollars don’t help?
The rich get richer and the poor get nowhere.

Perhaps it’s more player manager “mongering” than fact? I agree, why would the Panthers look outside of what has been so successful for them?

I feel for Pap’s but, the injuries cannot all be down to “bad luck” now can they? Perhaps he simply isn’t built for this game?

Don’t they say the same thing about Alf? To small, can’t kick long, can’t tackle, not up for origin.

Injury-hit Maroons won’t panic over Origin selections but just sit back and laugh at Blues’ hullabaloo

Souths have a problem with their playing roster along with their coach. The big money players are not performing and are ill disciplined. They are carrying some players that are past their prime.

Great question. It would be good to see the Role Description for these placements.

I thought LM’s was a pretty ordinary attempt. Hip into another players head, at speed. No attempt at using his arms at all.

I’m over the TT fan raves. He hasn’t put together a good season for a couple of years. His 32 minutes on the weekend was deplorable. He was blowing and walking like a 47 year old, not a 27 year old. He was down having his sore wrist/hand checked multiple times….just to get a breather.
He is a professional footballer, $1m per annum. You have to work your backside off to earn that coin, you have to be mentally strong, physically prepared and working on your skills.
If you’re emotional, can’t handle the training and am worried about external issues, you aren’t an elite player and are not worth $1m per annum.

'Such an emotional guy': Why RA should let their biggest star leave for the sake of the Wallabies

What happens when another teenager shows talent and is a potential wallaby? Do we pay another untested 18 or 19 year old big dollars on potential? What about someone who matures a little later and becomes a hardened professional at the age of 24 or 25v we miss them at the junior level but they end up I. Ireland or Italy national colours.
RA, if we are buying loyalty with money, we are not going to survive.

They made the right decision by mistake. I’m a mad Bronx fan, but it doesn’t sit right that they missed a fracture.

35 years old, played 58minutes of club rugby against the Butcher boys Brothers and KB is now a hot Rugby League prospect and a potential 7’s star?
I don’t know who his publicist is, but gee he’s doing a smashing job.

What about questions for the Bronx sideline management? He was stitched up, passed a HIA and was doing drills so that they could get Walsh back in the game. If it wasn’t for blurred vision, he’d have participated in the match.
What if he received another innocuous high shot after coming back on? Duty of care question comes up surely.

I really like the look of the Reds front Row. The big Kiwi prop did everything expected and more.

If it was known that they were so financially vulnerable, why are they contracting, on big money, players like TT and LSL? Surely they consolidate with who they have, save some dollars, make staff cuts and get their ship in order?
Does RA sign off on player contracts? Does RA have a duty of care in this situation also?
Rugby, I love you as a sport but, geez it’s getting g harder and harder to be a supporter.

Leave him out of the Wallabies. I’m not fussed if he plays Super rugby this year, but I wouldn’t be picking him for anything else. Why give him Wallaby Match Payments? Financially reward another player who is committed.

I hope he earns his spot also. It almost feels like he has been handed this opportunity without qualifying for it.
He’ll be 34 at the Olympics, he hasn’t played 7’s at a high level for years….yet, he’s in the squad.
