I couldn’t understand the warning. Maybe the ref thought that McReight was stealing the ball too often. It would be good if the excited commentators had given us a count of the penalties in the Crusaders’ Red zone.

It’s illegal to tackle a player in the air but fine to smash a guy who doesn’t expect to be tackled because he’s doesn’t have the ball already. Finau would have been suspended for a month if he done it to Dan Carter. Edmed does not have sufficient charisma to be entitled to protection.

McKenzie stayed well back from the ruck all game. I’m impressed that the chiefs have a spare lock to run up and smash a players who has already passed the ball. Edmed will be aware of the danger in future. The Tahs struggled to match up late in the game. Gleeson should target smaller playmakers when trying to crash over.

It would be a different story if Greeley was awake when Harry flicked the ball to him. Wilsons work rate is outstanding and he dominated the Clan’s #8. I would hate to see Valetini have to play every minute of every test match. Coach Clown’s game plan was to make him do all the hard work.

Les Kiss doesn’t use the bench astutely. Angus Blythe is sent on with 6 minutes to go. Mack Greely not strong enough to tackle close to the try line at this level and he is not fast enough.
