Good opinion piece however, all a bit obvious. My limited admin experience is club rugby and juniors. In a space of three years O’Neill took away our funding; no worries we increased our revenue and margins and membership grew from 650 to 850 from such innovative ideas as flyers in the local butcher shop. My greatest regret was the amount of talent I saw go through the system and completely wasted. These were the senior club players of the future and every now and then the potential for some green and gold. Where was the encouragement, the pathway, the guidance or the mentor? Unfortunately the corporate types on the RA board while diligently measuring the corporate governance performance indicators have not looked at the scoreboard.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

The Chair should be held accountable for the period he was there, which was disastrous. The appointment of Jones to me indicates a complete lack of insight and arrogance and most of the rugby community knew it.

'Previous chairman can not be a scapegoat': First salvo fired in bid to spill the Rugby Australia board

If it was in fact Qld led coup, good on them. The appointment of Eddie alone would indicate that McLennan had no idea what he was doing.
That NSW has given one of their votes to ARU would also indicate that NSW has no idea what they were doing. It just confirms what I suspected all along ie that NSW and the ARU are one and the same.
Now thanks to thier collective stupidity we can concentrate on building rugby again in Australia.

Strong custodians or factional hacks pushing state agendas? The numbers that will decide future of Australian rugby

There is vast difference between Joe and Jones and Chieka. One is a decent human, as was Rennie. It’s a pity that NZ has to show Australia want common decency looks like, and I am an Aussie!

'We'll sack him and be in the same position': Ex-Wallaby condemns Larkham snub as Schmidt deal CONFIRMED

I hold Chieka in the same regard I hold Jones. Peas in pod.

'Everyone's in the hunt': RA won't rule out stunning Wallabies return after Cheika departs Argentina role

I would like to think most astute people knew when Eddie Jones was appointed it was going to end in tears. From his days playing for Randwick to now I have never heard a good word said about the man. It just goes to show how ignorant the people were who appointed him.

Fan Rant: The ONE positive from Eddie Jones' lies - and how it could help Aussie rugby rise from the ashes

McLennan is a corporate animal ie no responsibility, no accountability and shaft as many people possible to allow you to raise to the top ie a psychopath. Running a sporting organisation IMHO and unfortunately experience is based on a very public scoreboard.

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

Jones appears to be someone who needs to be in total control eg sole selector, and certainly no advice from experts such as Laurie Fisher, Hooper and Cooper.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Eddie Jones' coaching flaw is his belief that rugby is the same game as league

I think Eddie saw the boys from the northern beaches of Sydney coming from a mile off. He is signed up long term and is the sole selector so he can do what he bloody well likes. Having a novice and only 10 in dubious form leading the Wallabies around the park is probably the greatest selection mystery however, there are several others that are at least debatable.

Eddie's risking everything to grow a new Wallabies golden generation

QC obviously knew before any attempt by EJ or RA to contact. Worse still if EJ left it to RA to contact QC. I still think going to world cup with one rookie 10, in questional form, is going to end in tears.

Exclusive: 'Think he's very upset, mate': Quade rejected Eddie's call after brutal omission - and hasn't been heard from since

Cooper has every right to be angry. He was obviously shafted by Jones and by sections of the media; which is exactly what is expected of Jones. Imagine what Slipper and Tate would be thinking after being shafted by Jones by putting Skelton ahead of them as Captain.
On another note: Sadly it will be the last we see of Harry Wilson who will be heading overseas along with a number of other world class players who have no interest in being shafted by Eddie in the future.
Stupidly the ARU signed Eddie for five years as they did Hooper; hopefully they will have the courage to pay him out when the inevitable happens.

Revealed: Foley still in World Cup mix after Australia A call up, Cooper pulls pin as Hooper ruled out

Only one 10 and especially one who has clearly demonstrated he is not up to international level plus Skelton as captain (i cant understand how he is even in the team) are the two shockers for me. If Jones was never going to pick Cooper why didn’t he give O’Connor a chance in one of the four recent tests?
Between Eddie and the above mentioned it is hard to see the Wallabies getting out of the pool stage. Unfortunately the north shore boys signed up Eddie for 5 years.

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

It would appear this is largely limited to the last 30 years or this Roar crowd are all Gen x or melineals. Otherwise, you would have Mark Loane, John Hipwell, Simon Poviden etc

The Roar's Greatest Wallabies Rugby World Cup XV Poll closes TONIGHT!

Jordan Petaia is a fullback and probably the best in OZ. I’m not convinced by Skelton; he is just too slow. The second row is one are that OZ seems to plenty of talent. My concern is our 10, 12 and 13. If Quade and/or Kerevi is injured we are stuffed. I don’t believe Gordon is at international standard, yet. Michael Hooper has served his country well however, Chieka should never have given him a five year contract. It locked out a number players from representing their country and in some cases arguably better players eg Liam Gill and Sean McMahon.

Wallabies' PREDICTED World Cup squad: Jones faces defining choice as he locks in 33 for France

I was sitting behind the our try line at Suncorp when we were leading the All Blacks with a couple of minutes to go. The All Blacks were only a few metres out with most of the team committed to the maul; our backs literally had no one in front of them. All White had to do was pass the ball and Izzy would have run 90 metres to score. Instead White went the box kick and the All Blacks immeadiaty scored to win the game. That should have been his last test for the Wallabies instead it was the coaches last test.

Why Nic White can’t be on the plane to France

Australia has only two world class props in Tupou and Slipper. The old saying of the first person picked is the tight head prop and the second the reserve tight head prop is never truer than in Wallabies.

Schoupp, Fa'amausili called up by Wallabies as Tupou released to make comeback

Hooper got beaten up in SR this year and won’t last long at a World Cup. Harry Wilson must be wondering what he has done wrong. Otherwise a reasonable squad with Jones playing some mind games rather than selecting on form.

COMMENT: Eddie has made one huge gamble - and it's not the No.10 call - as he avoids ruthless Hooper decision

I think the question is “should Kellaway be on the plane to France”. The answer to that is ‘No’. He is a club level player. Both Wright and Petaia are guine international standard players. For me its Petaia at fullback and Wright at 13.

Should Eddie choose the Wright way or the Kellaway to play fullback for the Wallabies?

I don’t think Hooper “should be on the flight to France”. He is getting beaten every game up by younger and stronger players. I know he has a year to run on his five year contract, but that contract was one of many bad decisions made in the Chieka era and hopefully is performance based.

Five things we learned: Time running out for Eddie's Tahs pick as RA gets important reminder

If Connor is the fifth best 10 we have then the World Cup is in the bag.

Wallabies squad confirmed: Eddie Jones shocks with big name omissions from first training camp

Tupo was a large part early reds success last having destroyed AA and whoever was playing THO for the Tahs: then the wheels fell off. I suspect RA is involved.. There is ABs test in Melbourne this year and Tupo will just be another marketing tool for RA. RA has made the mistake of trying to crack the Melbourne market before and despite some $ from a single game it was a huge failure.

CONFIRMED: Tupou signs multi-million dollar deal to stay with Rugby Australia - but he's leaving the Reds for rivals

Hosting a All Blacks test in Melbourne was the start of the demise of rugby in Australia. Ignoring your fan base for a few extra $ is never a good idea.

Rugby News: MCG to host Bledisloe Test as Wallabies' run to World Cup revealed, new Force-hooker's French deal confirmed

This is the type of thinking that has made the Wallabies (one of) the worst top tier nations in the world. Please leave at home AA, Holloway, Lonagans’, Ikitau, Hooper, and pick anyone else who is in form from SR or club.

Selecting a Wallaby WC squad and the SIX Giteau picks (plus a debutant) to bring back Bill

The biggest turn off in rugby is the referring. When 10 mins of an 80 minute game is lost to ref’s explaining their in depth knowledge of the rules and their own interpretation there of, you have to wonder why anyone new fans would be attracted to the game. And sorry, but Nigle Owen’s is the worst and the rest seem to be follow.

Refs have become too famous to the game's detriment - they should be more respected but less well known

My problem with the Wallabies is for example both Tupo and Tate Mc are world class players who have gone backwards under Rennie. Their confidence has been destroyed. Players are being promoted above their skill level on heresay rather than on hard playing evidence. It’s getting like GPS rugby ie if your parents do the work with the coaches your boy is in.
