Didn’t have the guts to stick with league but went to boxing? Boxing is a tough tough sport, any one that is prepared to get in the ring has my maximum respect. It takes plenty of guts to do what he, and others, have done.
Mundine flawed, floored, but a force for good
McBreen really gave it to him, we were watching it from behind the goals wondering what was going on to bring that spray as nothing obvious happened. Everyone in the den saw it and gave it to Mcbreen at the time, it goes without saying that he copped a bit after then missing the penalty as well.
It couldn’t have been scripted better.

One of the greatest things i have ever witnessed on a sporting field. The den went nuts when the 2nd goal went in. The noise, atmosphere, flares and what unfolded on field will ensure it is something i will never forget.
It’s not often Lang Park has that kind of atmosphere and crowd noise.

Wow, there is a lot of bitterness towards the dragons.
Some may have found it boring but here are the facts from the weekend.
No team scored more points than the dragons and no team let in less. It’s that simple.
It seems if they win a close low scoring game they are boring, it they score a lot of points and win, they are boring and their playing roster is “bland”.
Some people will never be happy (asides from how happy Dragons fans will be after winning on grand final day of course).

As for Golovkin, i am not sure what that has to do with Mundine schooling Green, however if he doesn’t take the fight it is a missed opportunity for him to prove that he is serious about taking on better opponents as he claims.

That’s all well and good, but that’s not really an issue with that fight. he had only been at LH for something like 2 fights, it’s not like he had been fighting there for a long time and then had to suddeny drop down one weight division.
It’s simply an excuse people like yourself use to try and justify to themselves why Green got schooled so badly.

So tell me about his Pro career up until he fought Mundine “dummy”.. He was fighting at SM up until a couple of fights prior to that fight. He even won an interim world title at that weight.
He wasn’t “weight” drained, he was simply given a boxing lesson.

Lol.. Well drained.. He did have to fight him at the weight he had spent most of his career and had won titles at. He had only been at LH for a couple of fights prior to fighting Mundine. Hardly likely to have seen him “well drained”
Mundine’s next fight will be against Golovkin in the States in July by the looks. Should be a good fight, it’s an interesting matchup.

I agree 100%. The first time i watched the 2nd game on a Friday night last year i couldn’t believe the amount of ads they were subjecting us too. As a result i no longer watch any delayed Channel 9 game preferring to wait a little longer and watching it on fox. Channel 9 are a blight on the game, the amount of ads they now show make it every bit as non watchable as it used to be years ago on a Sunday afternoon when they showed the game in a one hour block including ads.
I couldn’t imagine being a league fan without foxtel.

Amount of times the keeper touches the ball, amount of times balls hit the cross bar.
Definately some of the dumbest ideas i have ever heard as suggestions on this topic. It’s actually mind boggling that anyone would consider these to be anything but completely ridiculous.

What is wrong with this guy? It seems for large parts of his career he was intent on chasing Mundine around and attempting to show Mundine up at his own detriment (see the fight againt Sullivan where he wanted to KO him so badly to prove a point to Mundine he caused himself serious medical issues). I saw him on the news today going on about Mundine being “terrified” of him, despite Mundine handing him a lesson when they met. Now he wants to fight Siacca to prove something to Mundine despite Siacca rarely fighting of late and i am sure when he has it was at middleweight.
What exactly is this fight going to prove?
He needs to get over it and move on but it appears he never will.
Green aiming to 'smoke out' Mundine
Have you ever met him? Anyone that meets him or spends anytime with him will tell you a very different story regarding what he is like. He talks a lot of rubbish in the media to get the attention to make the money. And it’s people who, like yourself, don’t like him that line his pockets by watching his fights. Away from the cameras he is a very different person, a family man who has great values, i mean we don’t ever read about him being drunk in public and assaulting women do we. So what he talks it up, for the life of me i fail to see why this manages to annoy people so much and for the life of me i can’t see why those people fall for it every single time and end up contributing to his ever growing wealth. It’s kind of funny really isn’t it.

You really dislike Mundine don’t you. I am sure Pavlik knows who he is. There has been talk about a possible fight for a while and sounding out of Pavlik from team Mundine (from all accounts). Mundine also fought Ottke and Kessler both fighters Pavlik would know about so it’s probably safe to assume he does infact know who he is after all.

He fought in America early on i think. Hopefully he gets a fight with Pavlik, the money for both fighters would be to fight out here as he did with Kessler.

Light Heavy to Super Middle isn’t much, especially not when that is the weight division fought at for most of his career to that point. It’s a definate excuse.

Wow.. Look at the compliments for Green.. He was completely schooled by Mundine, he wasn’t even in the same state let alone the same ball park. Yet he beats an old champion past his best and is now calling out an even older fighter and suddenly he is something special?

Even though i am not a Scouser it would be pleasing to see them finally win again this season. Gunners will fall out of the top 4 replaced by Everton with 5th and 6th fought out between Arsenal, Man City, Villa, West Ham and to a lesser extent the ever disappointing Spurs.

Back to the subject article. Adebayor is now official. Impressive strike force. Has Tevez done the right thing for himself choosing City? Adebayor and Robinho will be up front with Ireland just behind them. Then there is also Sata Cruz and Bellamy.
I wonder where are they going to get some defenders from? Last season showed that is where there main isses were (asides from Robinho’s inconsistent form)

All well and good Bill, but as we have seen over they years, and indeed already this season, the ley is consistency. Not an area Refs are good at, already this year some times players are penalised for walking of the mark and sometimes they are not.
If they do it every time then so be it, i fear that won’t happen and it will become a joke once again and in 12 weeks it will revert back to what it has been.
