Graham should have been playing Origin the last 3 years.

State of Origin Game 1 full time: Queensland hold on to win

I must have been sipping my juice when that happened then. 🙂

State of Origin Game 1 full time: Queensland hold on to win

but they were.

the OED defines beaten as having been beaten.

Which they were.

By QLD.

State of Origin Game 1 full time: Queensland hold on to win

My break down.

NSW looked disjointed in attack. A lot of balls thrown in front of the man. Typical of the first game in a series.

Moylan is not Locky. Gladly, we can put that to bed.

Ferguson got picked because of reasons.

Morris is the best person NSW have to nullify Inglis.

Reynolds kicking was enough to keep him in the side. For the first time in recent memory NSW finished sets OK.

Gallen is still playing halfback for some reason.

Fifita is a monster. More please.

NSW looked better when the bench came on.

Farrah was OK. You could pretty much say that about everyone on the field though.

Mansour was also OK.

Cordner was close to NSWs best.

Jackson was involved ineverything.

NSW had other players but they don’t rate amention.

Boyd is now the best fullback in Australia.
Oates had amixed night but considering how much blood was streaming from the back of his skull i think he deserves his spot. Should have been there when Inglis made the break but hey. can’t blame the kid for doing some hard work in the middle.
Inglis was well contained by Morris. Tried hard but meh.
O’neill was great in defense and passed at the right time.
Gagai was awesome.
Thurston tries harder than anyone.
Cronk was ordinary.
Matt Scott. The best front rower i the game. (period)(is what that is, after the e)
Smith was Smith.
Myles stepped up like everyone north of the tweed knew he would.
Thaiday was meh. But he was on the wrong side for some reason so eh.
Guerra played I have been advised.
Gillet would be my MOTM if Boyd didn’t play.
Parker was as solid as you get from Parker.
Morgan won’t be there once Milford’s ban is finished. Unless Cronk steps down.
Papalli always scares me when he defends.
Mcguire. And this hurts me. Was ordinary, Like he has been for Brisbane this year. Do something you beautiful half blind man.

It was a pretty open game considering it was in NSW. The refs definitely shortened the 10 in the last quarter but that is to be expected.

Are you deadset serious?

Is this the kind of nonsense that has been going on here in my absence?

Couple of inches in it? Yeah. It’s usually the difference between winning and losing. Morris not scoring a try isn’t a refereeing decision it’s a stone cold fact.

Do I really need to come back? Can you guys not handle this stuff on your own. I’m kinda busy.

State of Origin Game 1 full time: Queensland hold on to win

I didn’t see Gallen do much? Maybe its just my maroon glasses but he again seemed to just get in the way of the halves.

State of Origin Game 1 full time: Queensland hold on to win

Was there still any?

State of Origin Game 1 full time: Queensland hold on to win

I still love you TB

The only question is whether Cooper or Thurston move aside for Milf next year.

As always the Blues look better on paper, but paper counts for three fifths of FA in this arena.

Chambers is a loss. We are looking a bit skinny on centres if O’neill doesn’t perform.

Can’t wait for the Inglis/Oates V Dugan/Fergo battle. Predicting Ferguson and Doogs to be caught out of position all night.

As always it will be the halves that let NSW down. Reynolds is in terrible form. Farrah has been trying to stick his head in the sand to get out of playing. Who else was there? Speed bump. He’ll be good for a couple of tries. To QLD.

At least Laurie has taken Mal’s heed and picked a livewire utility on the bench. Oh wait. He’s picked Walker hasn’t he. Don’t worry then.

I wonder if Klemmer has learnt any respect yet?

Maybe you can ask them to postpone the Olympics while you raid the Fijian rugby team…

Steve. Cooper is not the future. He is old. You don’t change a team that flogged NSW senseless in the last outing.

I’m working on a theory though that Walters will throw this series to light the kindling in the 10 young boys that are serving their bans.

QLD – stay out past curfew, banned for 12 months.
NSW – Plead guilty to performance enhancers, given a medal.

Spain is tops. QLD by enough.

Queensland team for State of Origin Game 1: Expert reaction

Broncos are looking dynastic guys. Still way too early in the year to get over excited though.

Bennett should be just about a shoe-in for coach of the year but will no doubt lose to one of the also rans that managed to take their squad from 13th to 7th.

Oh, and Reed should play wing outside of Kahu. That way you don’t have to pass.

Brisbane Broncos vs South Sydney Rabbitohs Highlights: NRL live score, blog

Williams failed to close out games. Raiders should have won more but didn’t.

Poor game management.

Is wally Lewis nephew still down there?

Ricky is repairing the Raiders rot that started with his sacking

Barbara was a scam surely. Wow beater on a gammy leg.

Ricky is repairing the Raiders rot that started with his sacking

He’s not an 18 year old kid whose father was ill. (Who he still wouldn’t release)
Pot have you meet kettle.

Call it 1.5.
He wasn’t alone down in Canberra.
Still more fun to be at the big dance than watching it on TV.

Raiders look solid this year. An actual halfback should help. But I’m sure Ricky will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ricky is repairing the Raiders rot that started with his sacking

No one was arguing nothing should be done. Just that it was a low act to walk out the way he did.

Any teams fans would be rightfully aggrieved if it happened to them.

Up the Broncos!

Broncos forging another dynasty: Bennett

Hey mate! Nice bit of fan fiction there.

February is so much better when all you also rans are trotting about high on cricket and with rose coloured memories of seasons past.

Should be a great year.

Ricky the saviour!

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn’t come up with that title because repairing the rot by signing players from overseas doesn’t really work as a narrative. 🙂

Ricky is repairing the Raiders rot that started with his sacking

Call me crazy but i would prefer to be actually doing better than to have people say I’m doing better.

You’re analogy is backwards to me. I would prefer better grammar and a worse grade.

Likewise i would prefer my team playing better but not quite getting the results.

NRL 2016 ladder countdown: Wests Tigers (15th)

Meaningless stats like scoring more points and conceding less?

You can mark that down as a first, I’ve not heard that one before.

Mate. Honestly. The only thing entertaining about the tigers pre-Taylor was watching my team carve them up.

Also. Woods is lucky to be in the top 5 props. No way is he number 1. No way.

NRL 2016 ladder countdown: Wests Tigers (15th)

Broncos, Warriors, Cowboys and Storm.

Roosters, Sharks, Rabbits.

Then in no particular order
Eels, Dogs, Manly, Titans, Raiders,

Then
Panthers, Tigers, Saints, Knights.

Manly are as good a chance as any at making the 8. Big changes though.

They actually mirror the Broncos from last year. An untested 6, a last minute forward plucked from the Tigers. A new coach. But Barret isn’t Bennett so we’ll see.

I picked Manly to miss the 8 at the beginning of last year and was laughed off these pages then as well.

Parrafan is right about the Sharks too. They have got halves now. They’ll hey in a lot of people’s way this year.

None of it will matter though because the Broncos will beat the Warriors in another GF involving no Sydney teams. Ben Hunt for Clive Churchill and test selection.

2016 NRL preview series: Manly Sea Eagles

Yeah but to be fair. They’ve also always been terrible. So maybe changing their style isn’t as terrible an idea as you seem to insist.

When you’re the laughing stock for 10 years you don’t blame the guy trying to make changes. ..

NRL 2016 ladder countdown: Wests Tigers (15th)

Haha. Not the popular theory I know. But I’ve never been one to back the favourite in.

For all of their issues though they have a decent team. If Taylor is as good as I think he is they have a young team that might just surprise a few people.

More likely than Manly finishing first.

NRL contenders and pretenders: Part 2

Oh well of course. If they’re professional footballers. Every professional team has gelled for immediate results 100 percent of the time. What was I thinking.

2016 NRL preview series: Manly Sea Eagles

Pretty harsh on JT.

He was one of the all time best halves and hasn’t been a bad coach. Seems to be hindered by external circumstances more than not.

The Farrah incident was a shambles but it was the creation of the board not JT. They should have backed him and dropped Farrah. He is a pox on the team.

NRL 2016 ladder countdown: Wests Tigers (15th)

Can either of the halves organise a team?

Legitimate question.

Also I wonder whether Jennings will hinder Radrada. He honestly doesn’t need a great centre inside him. And especially not a selfish one.

Time will tell.

Can Parramatta break back into the finals?
