Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

NEWS: Macarthur has reportedly agreed on terms with multiple players, while Ken Stead has been forced out. Shortly after Greg O’Rouke has reported that everything is fine at Macarthur.

Thanks for the research Midfielder. That advert is really well done, pulls together the aspects what Macarthur seems to be about. They seem to be attracting the local community really well and have been respectful in doing so. Thanks for the chat, it was extremely thought-provoking and enjoyable.

In terms of capacity, an upgrade for Campbelltown stadium isn’t required; 20,000 should be enough for most league games, maybe excluding derbies and finals if they were to make the top six.

Remember they are currently building a new stadium. Maybe we should give them a few years.

Do you know if there’s a strong Sydney FC fanbase in the Macarthur region because I doubt any of them would be looking at changing teams?

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

Good point. One of my family members is a Mariners fan and said that buying Central Coast Stadium would be a great move, so it’s sad to hear that the bit was rejected.

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

That’s an interesting point because above people were saying Macarthur was doing a great job in promoting in local areas…

Didn’t find that during my research, do you mind sending me the link for that?

Also interesting that there is a tennis centre and oval near it, meaning an afternoon of sport can be spent. There are also multiple highly rated restaurants, which helps for the later games

Didn’t think of Google earthing their stadium but will do it in the future for new stadiums or clubs.

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

Apologies for misinterpretation within this article, but this was not a bad piece about Macarthur. It was a piece containing research about them, and I was inquiring as to how good they were going off the pitch in the slow lead up to their first A-League season.
In terms of the positive sides of the club: I think that Ante Milicic will be a great coach for them and he has said he will be looking to build an Ange Postecoglou-esque side. They are upgrading their stadium and there are some quality off-contract A-League players which they can sign in the summer. I like to hope that I’m not trapped in toxic negativity, but thanks for your comment, I’ll look at writing some more positive articles in the future.

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

That’s a very good way of looking at it, and something I didn’t think of. However, it’s interesting that they don’t have a replacement lined up unless they feel that someone from within the club is ready to step up…

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

That’s true and makes it look increasingly more possible, but it does depend one thing: Where are all the fans going to come from?

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

10,000 on average a home match would be massive in the first season, but I doubt that would be possible. However, if they manage it well done to Macarthur and they will certainly be a massive part of the A-League’s future. I take it you’re a Macarthur fan?

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

I hope so. I wasn’t jumping to conclusions, I was merely exploring what was going on with Macarthur. Unfortunately, there isn’t too much coverage on them at the moment. Hopefully, for the A-League’s sake, they succeed.

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

Thanks for the news, Nick. If they weren’t going to upgrade their stadium, there would probably be big coverage about it seeing as that was one of the components that got them into the A-League, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

Well said, Nemesis. I agree that we can’t know anything yet, but we can draw rough conclusions from the news that has been given to us. I have not worked in any start-ups so it is interesting to hear it from the point of view of someone who has.

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

Apologies but I haven’t watched that show, so I can’t tell if you’re criticising me or not! That would be a good decision on Macarthur’s part, and it seems they have aimed high with their transfer targets so far. I would love to see a few more J-League players in the A-League, but they might be looking for a more ‘marquee’ imports.

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

Not sure about Walker, but why would Macarthur employ Fraser and Krayem if they knew they may jump ship?

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

My main problem with teams such as Melbourne Victory who play a 3-4-3 with two 6’s in midfield is that it leaves a high burden on the front three to produce. I know Poulsen isn’t the best of midfielders, but I’d like to see them incorporate a 6 and 8 into their midfield because Lesiotis definitely isn’t a box to box midfielder.

Three at the back is the new black

I agree, and as I said by this point last season Western United only had two players and didn’t have a coach but losing their CEO can’t be good for the club…

Yokohama played Champions League game one week earlier.

Was Sydney FC’s ACL embarrassment the A-League’s fault or just a bloke named Ange’s?

The main problem is that Ufuk Talay has said his plan is to make a young team made up of kiwi locals. Changing his squad to mainly Australian’s would be abandoning that plan unless the Asian federation is willing to change the rules…

How can Wellington become one of the A-League’s heavyweight teams?

It’s not as much about the playing time, it’s about establishing themselves in other league’s in Australia because that’s what will help them become a heavyweight team in the A-League
