Not disagreeing with, you just finding fun facts. Even this season Ollie Pope is averaging 78. Hard to sell county cricket as a quality competition. Its different to our conditions, which adds complexity and probably most challenging for opening batsmen. Is Lehmann the 3rd highest run scorer in first class cricket?

The Yorkshire average, though very impressive, doesn’t alter the context that he often batted on the best batting wicket in Australia. It’s just an observation and doesn’t change the reality that Darren was unlucky not to play more tests. Possibly the most unlucky. A different era, say a decade earlier or a decade later = 100 test career.
PS. I do recall Neil Fairbrother scoring 366 in a county game, so that would support your point that it’s not test cricket. 15.6 I think Neil averaged in tests

I was thinking the same thing. The 2nd test pitch, I can understand but that Karachi pitch didn’t meet my criteria for ‘road’ status. McGrath took 5/66 and MacGill 3/64 in the first innings. That’s not a road. The 2015 WACA … Now that’s a road.
