Boks 7-1 is causing a meltdown amongst the Spirit of the Game community. Ireland have now loaded three backs on their bench! I’m outraged! How is this heavy Bok pack meant to compete???

COMPLETE RWC teams week 3: Eddie makes three changes, Wales skipper misses out, Farrell back for England

The truth. 100% Harry. It’s something they’ve been too arrogant or ignorant to face up to. Rugby will always be one of my sports and the Wallabies one my teams because I live here (Boks first though).

If there’s a glimmer of hope for everyone it’s this – I remember feeling this way about the Boks before Rassie took over and look where they are now. It takes leadership, honesty, clarity, bravery and commitment. Probably in that order.

Cool. Didn’t know about him having experience restructuring businesses. The club rugby thing is important too. There’s something there for the ARU to harness.

Hey cookie. Curious to know why you’re optimistic about Waugh?

Incredibly strong piece Harry, and very strong words. I was thinking about your article from last year the other day actually. Lots proving to be true.

There’s so much to say about the ARU and the Wallabies that it’s hard to know where to start. They are losing the battle of the codes in Australia. Lost with no direction.

Is Phil Waugh the guy to turn things around? For me that’s just another addition to a long list of poor decisions unfortunately.

I have mates who grew up as passionate rugby fans in Australia. The type who wore Wallabies jerseys to the pub with their RM Williams boots. None of them tune in to Super Rugby or the Wallabies anymore.

I’m left with the feeling that the ARU have struggled to crystalise the code’s identity in a changing market and have lost way as a result.

My experience having worked at one of the professional unions over here was that game in Australia at the time was being run by a bunch of white collar private school boys, appointed by their mates, sitting comfortable in their positions while being inadequate at their jobs, unable or reluctant to see the shifting of the sands, and the game is now paying the price.

Sad but true. Right guy for the next four years? Big question

This is no time for X-factor: The Wallabies' challenge is to find a structure to out-structure super-structured Wales

You got any hope for them Jez? Look I reckon the Wallabies backs are dangerous enough. But I feel it’s relying on Wales to make mistakes to let them in.

Like the France and All Blacks game, Ireland v South Africa will be the litmus test of where both side are at.

We have a bit of an idea of the Boks given the wins against the ABs and Scotland. Despite having an obvious playing style, Ireland is a slightly less known quantity because they haven’t been properly tested recently.

So let’s see. It’s 1 plays 2.

Ireland lose and they face a pressure game against the Scots. Can you imagine if they lose that game and don’t qualify? I don’t think it’ll happen…but it could…

Bok fans who do you want in a quarter final? At home France or Hard to beat twice in a row All Blacks?

Tough choice but I’m leaning towards the All Blacks. So Boks need to beat Ireland to top the group with ABs likely to finish second in theirs.

RWC top 10 Power Rankings week 2: Wallabies plunge after Fiji shocker, England on the rise, favourites hold firm

Hi Brett

Unfortunately I think you’ve highlighted the reason the Wallabies might lose next week – the breakdown. Can they really fix the deficiencies in time?

Jac Morgan and the Wales backrow will set the platform for Bigger to keep the scoreboard ticking over and I fear the game will get away from the Wallabies.

Would be enjoying it more if Marx didn’t get injured. Big loss for Boks. Proper game defining player.

Ha. Chill Busted. I am joking here.

This is a really big loss.

RWC News: 'Doesn't make sense' - why ex-Wallaby coach wants Carter axed, Mack bemoans mates 'smoking vapes, drinking beer'

Siya’s ability to step into a green or mint jersey and perform is amazing. Reckon it’s because he has a very clearly defined role at Boks. Oh and he’s world class.

Always risk of an injury my friend

COMPLETE RWC teams week 2: Wallabies make three changes as Fiji name giant centre, Hansen back for Irish

Don’t think it was. If there was any discomfort following that game they would have sent him for scans then given the WC was so close.

Haha. Cracking read. Good lad it seems.

Honey Badger 2.0: Tom Hooper takes centre stage with a blizzard of one liners and candid self reflection

Yeah looks like Eben is 7-10 days. Not serious and if there was a knock out game to lay he’d strap up and head out.

Hoping Marx is the same.

Mentally preparing for both not to play against Ireland.

Yep it’s a smart move.

Good to see they’ve got the boxing gloves on. 🥊

Makes me wonder who’d be the most difficult to face in a bout..??

McReight with his up close and personal upper cuts? Or Skelton with his height, long reach and weight?

If there’s an option I’d ask for White. Slight tap on the chin and he goes down.

100%. They know the starting 23 and it’s good they’re resting players while giving back ups game time in certain positions.

I think what saved both PSDT and Siya was that it was just a partial rupture of the ACL. I do wonder if it would have been the same outcome with a full rupture??

But yes amazing recovery and both are firing.

It’s a good opportunity to rest key players and give back up players time in certain positions. That and getting through the game with no injuries is all that matters (I know winning is ultimately the priority but with respect that team should get it done against Romania).

Marx sent for scans on injury 😱 🤢

Not sure who I want Boks to face in a quarter. At Home France or Hard to beat twice in a row All Blacks.
