The Chiefs team that got belted by the Bulls in the final would have been close?

It's a Hurricanes-Highlanders Super final

Great call mate, you’ve called it pretty much the same as the judges saw it.
Cheers

[VIDEO] Floyd Mayweather def Manny Pacquiao highlights: fight result, round-by-round updates

Yeah but he pinged Lobbe for the same thing, so at least he was consistent.
And thats all anyone could ask for.

Argentina vs All Blacks: Rugby Championships live scores, blog

Elliot wasn’t dropped for attitude reasons, he just wasn’t performing well in the few tests he had, and then when he had to part time share the Chiefs hooker role he fell off the map.
Tameifuna is definitely a fitness reason, the All Blacks need players that can lift the tempo of the game even at the 70 minute mark.

When will Ewen McKenzie get the selection message?

The great thing is with hawkes Bay hosting the All Blacks v Argentina, there will be extra seating around for the first shield defence.
Mclean park for two weekends will become NZs premier rugby ground.
Go the actual and real Bay!
Hopefully our defence lasts longer then the last……(I guess it has to with 2 weeks between winning and first defence lol)

The Ranfurly Shield: the jewel of New Zealand domestic rugby

Kudos to you Sir. An enjoyable read indeed.

Why I should have hated attending the Eden Park Test, but didn't

I read the whole thread, and specifically the two posts which preceded your own.
Don’t make stuff up to suit your own argument.

SPIRO: The Wallabies All Blacked-out at Eden Park

Robo, that is the stupidest comment ive read on here in quite awhile.
Nowhere did Canetragic, in only two sentences, claim that the Haka is a historical part of the creation of rugby like you claim.

If you’re going to call someone ignorant don’t then make stuff up, its beyond stupidity.

SPIRO: The Wallabies All Blacked-out at Eden Park

Thanks for replying. Yeah I was curious about that mainly.
I think you could probably argue your way into a scrum with a ref that wasnt quite sure.

All Blacks annihilate Aussies in Auckland assault

Cheers Andy.

All Blacks annihilate Aussies in Auckland assault

I like Malakai Fekitoa, but if he continues to run great, hard lines without considering passing the ball in the backfield, hes gonna have to put a hypen in the middle of his last name and call himself Malakai Two Dads.

Hansen: All Blacks are just too powerful

Can someone answer this question please? I asked last night but it got buried in the game thread.

Jerry if you see this?

When Coles kicked the ball for Savea, and the Wallabies fumbled the ball outside their 22 and eventually into their 22, they then set up a ruck and Foley cleared from deep in his ingoal. That kick went out on the full and the All Blacks took a lineout at the spot it went out.

Now the ball was clearly carried back into the 22 so therefore should not have been allowed to be kicked out on the full (This was clearly missed)
Usually the lineout would be where the ball was kicked from, but ingoal lineouts are an impossibility.
So the common thought would be lineout 5ms out to the All Blacks, but could you make a case for a 5m scrum?
The ball was clearly carried back into the ingoal, and technically the ball is out in the ingoal. If someone had carried or passed the ball back into the ingoal then gone out it would be a 5m scrum.
Have they covered that in the rule book?

All Blacks annihilate Aussies in Auckland assault

Yup, was awesome seeing him telling Barrett to run it out of his own ingoal and Barrett not even thinking twice.
The pure confidence of it all…………we’re in good hands for the future thats for sure.

All Blacks dismantle Wallabies at Eden Park

lol check the reads at the top. >37k

Whats the ruling on the kick out from the Wallabies following Coles kick for Savea?

Coles kicks, Savea chases. Wallabies bumble the ball back into their own 22. No All Black touches the ball, a ruck ensues and Foley makes a clearing kick out on the full from within his own ingoal.

That should have been a lineout for the All Blacks for the kick going out on the full being carried back into the Wallabies 22.

5m Lineout for the ABs?
Or…….5m scrum for the ABs considering the ball was technically out in the ingoal (Due to the fact it was kicked out on the full from within the ingoal) and carried back into the ingoal.

Obviously not seen and ruled on but curious nonetheless.

Agree with all of those points but must add that Coles is starting to look the goods.

The All Blacks did some silly things and made uncharacteristic mistakes.
They should be over the moon with the result, but not how it was achieved.

It was the most frustrating thing watching the All Blacks trying to go wide after 2 phases without actually having gone forward first.
It was like amateur hour, were they trying to avoid the Wallabies forwards?
The rain provided the platform for the All Blacks to utilise their supposed forward dominance, and instead they chose a dry track game plan.

Peyper was rubbish, but the All Blacks did nothing to deserve to stand alone at the top of the record books.
I would have preferred a loss in the grand scheme of things, a loss would give us a wake up call and inspire greater reflection about where this team is going from here.
Instead the talk is about Peyper and some general back pats for scraping a draw.

SPIRO: Glass half full result for Wallabies and All Blacks

Would you still be applauding if those were two Australian Yellows?
Lets not pretend that the Australian players weren’t infringing in the exact same manner.
I have a feeling your ideas about stamping out cynicism from the ruck are more about stamping out the effect of certain teams at the ruck that arent you’re own.
Hooper did some shocking things on the blindside of the ruck, more power to the guy. What happens to your ideas about cynicism at the ruck when McCaw retires and Hooper becomes the world leader at ruck summits? Will you still protest?

SPIRO: Glass half full result for Wallabies and All Blacks

Importation probably higher then export 😉

2014 Super Rugby grand final will be epic

Ellis is the key, if the Tahs can force him into a bad game with ruck pressure then they will have the upper hand.
Slade wont cope with poor service, and Read will be forced to play a tighter game.
Tough job though, Ellis seems to pull the ball out from under mounds of bodies then gets passes away with guys on his back.

Tahs to win it in a tight one. 3-5 points.

Waratahs to meet Crusaders in Super Rugby final

Very good 😀

Waratahs to meet Crusaders in Super Rugby final

It wasn’t the pumping the Chiefs deserved, but the end result is warranted.
They were lucky to get this far with their substandard backline, though their forwards are an excellent unit.
The winner of this game was a non-event anyway. Waratahs will steamroll the Brumbies in a canter next weekend then drop the Crusaders by 10.
Its the Waratahs to lose.

Brumbies knock out Chiefs in Super Rugby finals

A lot of fellow Magpie fans have turned off the Canes over the last few years.
It used to be for the Highlanders where a lot of our Hawkes Bay boys would end up (usually because of Otago Uni), but in recent times its been at the Chiefs.
The Wellington Bias within the Hurricanes can sometimes be so blatant. So many times a player from Wellingtons development squad would get a Hurricanes gig over a better player from Hawkes Bay. So many times i’d look at the squad announcements and see some unknowns from Wellington’s club comp in the Canes.

So frustrating, and this year with Marty Banks getting drafted in from Tasman over Ihaia West………….its hard to be a HB Canes fan.

Solving the Hurricanes riddle

Think he was showing confidence in Tuilagi to beat a last defender, by pulling the 2nd defender away.
It makes sense, even though it didnt work out. You’d expect Tuilagi to beat one defender 10 metres out from the line.

All Blacks clinch series against England

Usual rusty start from the All Blacks.
