This sounds a bit ridiculous, your a volunteer ref, straight away you have to be casual and its my understanding an unofficial ref cant give cards. You wonder why they are going off at you? the way you’ve put it your a volunteer ref, reffing a one-sided game damn staright i’d be giving you an earful.

Was a good read however

They’re blind, they’re deaf - who’d want to be a ref?

Murdocca is trash, James Brown is trash, Hoffman…trash. Williams and Dugandzic good when they want to be, trash when they don’t. Mooy and Duff have only just started to settle in at City and Villa will be gone in 10 games.

It realy could be the same old Melbourne Heart with a paint job

No Wander Western Sydney lost FFA Cup match

Wont work if its in sydney every year its gotta move around.

Fat chance of that happening with David Gallop running the show

Give the All Stars concept a chance to grow

Honestly we can sit here and debate how good the signing is but can someone point out the blind following City fans, and a-league fans in general, are giving the signings of Melbourne City. I honestly think ‘fans’ are seeing “played premier league” and “marquee for Melbourne City” as signs that this guy must be good Manchester City know what theyre doing blah blah.

Just completely ignoring that the man is 33 years old, and nobody bats an eye really?

Villa will draw City crowds, Koren will deliver success

God i wish there was no moderation of the comments section sometimes fuss. If you dont agree with someone your go to argument 9 times out of 10 is what experience do you have. Seriously Fuss? its a comment section on a website called the roar for the roar of the crowd if your gonna apply that kind of logic its just pointless having a comments section on this website

FFA restrictions force Squadron to fly

At this stage i’d assume that all a-league clubs would be fully committed to the cup

Semi-professional, fully committed: The FFA Cup could be won by an outsider

I’m sorry but by that logic we should have a team from any country that has a decent amount of players in the a-league

Phoenix shock West Ham in Auckland

Oooh you didnt just say that did you?
“i dont see NZ as being the 6th state of australia.”
I dont think anybody in the whole world does.
WA, SA, QLD, NSW, VIC and TAS = 6 states

Phoenix shock West Ham in Auckland

If New Zealand move into the AFC i’d be happy for them to remain or else gtfo

Phoenix shock West Ham in Auckland

I agree with you on Kagawa he is rotting away at united, based on the WC if anyone can turn him around Van Gaal can.

But the only problem is where mata will play where? we have too many players that havent performed to standard or dont fit in other positions

Taking the broom to United, Van Gaal has work to do

Well you see fuss, sometimes it pisses down rain all day or its night time so you need something else to do

FIFA 15: Just as important as Brazil

but cahill didnt even get top 5 when it was clearly second

Cahill's stunner fails to claim World Cup prize

No Arnold wants returning socceroos to be exempt to allow sydney to abuse it and sign cahill

A-League salary cap still a work in progress

Dont forget we also havent had Asian Cup qualifying matches, meaning less points for playing friendlies instead of competitive matches

It's time for the Socceroos next golden generation

I’m fine with tuesday but not for the final

FFA Cup’s credibility under scrutiny

Should be starting later on like the FA Cup, however then people will be up in arms over non A-League clubs being in the off-season
Should not have the seeded team nonsense. 32 teams should have been put in a bucket and whatever got drawn out was who you played. Would still have meant at least 6 non A-League clubs would be through.
Should not be having a cup final on a tuesday night. This I think is the biggest mistake the FFA have made. Should be a week-off in the A-League and then Saturday night the FFA Cup is played. A tuesday final is going to see a small crowd in attendance. Especially if it is played in a neutral venue.

I’ll assume the final is to be played in Sydney because David Gallop and Frank Lowy are sydney bias but thats an argument for another day

FFA Cup’s credibility under scrutiny

This is gonna sound poorly timed but… I really dont understand the hype around Les Murray. Yeah he may have been on TV for years and tried to promote the game but it still doesnt mean he wasnt a shite commentator. He puts me to sleep with his dull antics.

Les, the world game says farewell

I’d have fred in there for his shocking performance at the WC, maybe a bit harsh but that was the biggest thing missing for brazil which is what made the decision of Diego Costa to jump ship even weirder.

Zuniga, while i agree is infamous for the challenge, didnt deserve a booking for the actual foul. Had neymar got up and walked away nobody would have cared. I feel the ref got it right as every body would react different to the zuniga foul. It is the main problem I have with the AFL MRP accounting for injury.

Infamous XI of the 2014 World Cup

yeah but pirlo didnt score did he

2014 FIFA World Cup: The best goals from Brazil

What Hummels is trying to say is, we needed to stay focused on playing proper football instead of charging forward to score as many goals as possible in an attempt to humiliate Brazil.

2014 FIFA World Cup: A new chapter in the evolution of football

Perth Glory claim they’re in for a big season every year. A bunch of signings doesnt impress me, watch the team struggle to gel and fall in its usual mess. Alot of the signings are passed it, or never lived upto the potential

Richard Garcia- Nothing special these days, i see this move as move to the local club before hanging up the boots
Mitch Nichols- Quality when he wants to be, rarely wants to be
Ruben Zadkovich- Arguably the most overrated player in the history of the league, would stop following my team if they ever signed him

Are Glory days headed for Perth again?

In terms of consistent punishment the Silva yellow should stand

However the keeper let go of the ball to kick it. Thierry Henry did the same thing a few years back and while called a foul, the commentators at the time said the ball was loose and so why shouldnt henry be free to take out of the air

Brazil want Silva ban scrapped

I’m sorry but everything about the SBS coverage has been shocking, Zdrillic is terrible, Lucy Zelic makes me suicidal and its even worse that SBS continue to try and shove her down our throats. Culina is shocking, every time i here him talk he says the standard of the game is terrible. Kalac thinks he is gods gift to football and thinks he is never wrong.

I’m undecided on Ned Zelic, a mate from uni said that Zelic said the penalty in the Greece vs Ivory Coast game was a correctly awarded penalty. Can anyone else confirm this? Because if its true Zelic should actually be banned from commenting on football.

Football in Australia is entering a conversion phase

What is homophobic about stating what afl players wear?

Acting and diving not winning 'footy' fans over anytime soon

Now just to point out before i begin, I wouldnt define myself as aethiest but I also don’t identify with any religion

I went to a Catholic high school and would ask how they could support both scientific principles like evolution and still believe in catholicism. One day a science teacher gave his view on how evolution can fit into the catholic view, he said the bible is not a literal retelling of the world. He doesnt believe god literally made the world and everything in it in 6 days then rested. He believes god created everything and then evolved it over time til he finally made something in his image.

And when questioned on the big bang he merely said something had to bang the two particles together

Really opened my eyes on philosophy

Why aren't there more atheist footballers?
