The noise at times was often over the top, but yeah the speed of the game limits one umpire in AFL. Stoppages are the major concerns.

Andrew the analysis of Johns and Kewell are more than valid I agree but they lacked the dominance of success over a sustained amount of time. Ablett Snr is a star but lacked the leadership that Smith and Waugh show time and time again.

You are correct JGK but I used sanders as an example cause he played the two sports simultaneously. Jackson played the two sports at different times of the year. You are correct Booth and Miller could have both been included in the article. I went with the more familiar ones and the superstar in Perry . I could have included O’Donnell, Mundine the list goes on.
