David Silva’s man of the match performance for Manchester City against Newcastle was a timely reminder, on the eve of his departure from the Premier League, of what a magnificent player and leader he has been.
The Premier League has seen its fair share of dominant striking performances over the years.
The PSG under-19 squad is a team brimming with talent, most noticeably the likes of French centre forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, 18-year-old French international Adil Aouchiche, and the Dutch-born former La Masia superstar Xavi Simons.
Described as having passing like Mesut Ozil and dribbling like Neymar, 24-year-old Matheus Pereira is a star in the making.

I agree that it could be a really positive thing for Australian football. Players such as Sekiya, Lofthouse and Pengelly are continually overlooked by A-league clubs who prefer signing over-paid foreign 30 year olds. These players are working hard in the NPL without being given a chance. Hopefully we will see more local success stories like we saw in Dylan Wenzell-Hall, Danny Kim and Oskar Dillon.
