Good one mate, hardly dominated, his 44 was scrappy and looked like getting out on 1/3rd of the shots he was playing. His 44 was not even in the top 3 performances to win that game for WA

Chill Australia, it can’t be worse than 2013

Its is an outcome of the new deal, the previous Live Pass system worked under the old broadcasting deal, it has since been changed with the introduction of paywall cricket. The difference being that mainland Australians have the opportunity to see the cricket, even if they pay for it, whereas those living outside Australia do not.

Oh how I wish. The CA page says more info to come in the next few days. Posted in the beginning of September. Typical.

I’ve tried to use some VPN’s but couldn’t find any that let me connect to an Australian server (for free) so I would just be stuck pretending I’m in Germany or Canada still without cricket. I tried to sign up for Kayo, got geo-blocked and required an Australian phone number, not exactly ideal.

I don’t think there is, at least for where I live, there are some that work in the UK but I doubt they stream Aus matches as well. I’ve been resorting to not 100% legal streaming sites, but I they are unreliable.

Cheers for the help though James.

I agree Travis should be in the side, a lean couple of games in Aus and people forget he was the second highest run scorer in the series against England. He averaged 37.3 at the start of this series, that was 2nd only to Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh.

Major questions facing Australian one-day cricket

Something I should’ve mentioned in the article: Not a single mention via e-mail or text or anything that this change was happening.

Australia's forgotten fans

Yeah, that’s the main negative from CA’s recent moves, pushing the fans that can’t afford to see the ‘product’ out the door. Unequivocally un-Australian.

I’ve heard of that trick, its how sports bars in Europe show British telly, not entirely legal but pretty sure its just a fine.

The AFL actually has this sorted, you pay about 70 dollars for a pass, you can watch every game of the season live on up to 2 devices at a time, from anywhere in the world. You can even watch replays of games that were played last season and the season before. Definitely a model other sports broadcasters should follow.

If they have only played 3 shield games then we simply do not know if they are good enough, especially when the bowling attack includes the likes of Matthew Wade. We should keep Head for the first game and look at the players who have a technique better than Lehmann and have scored some runs this season. There is a couple, even Tom Cooper from SA has a better technique than him, and has scored more runs.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

I simply do not understand your reasoning Don, how is the bloke that took the 3rd most wickets in a Sheffield Shield season ever, not in the top 15 bowlers currently in Australia??? Chadd Sayers has been consistently in the 3 best Shield bowlers for the last 4 years.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

McDermott’s ramp shot that he got out to in the 1st over he faced proved that he is not ready for international cricket.

Australia lose to South Africa yet again

Do you mean that massive bottom edge that was almost impossible to pick when standing up to the stumps? Bit harsh to say that was a proper chance.

Australia lose to South Africa yet again

Cheers Ronan, Exactly, A lot of people believe their opinion is correct, simply because the name they are spouting either had form 5 years ago, or their name sits in the top 10 Shield run scorers of the last season.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

Pretty close, but just pitching outside the line for me. Should be enough for a spot in the 1st test though

Was Travis Head robbed of a Shield century by a dodgy LBW decision?

Hilarious read yet again Dan!

The Liebke Ratings: Australia vs South Africa, third ODI

Gold.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

I reckon Ferguson is one step above Head, in skill and test match temperament, he’s a much more refined cricketer, so if anyone is going to make the successful switch from the baggy red to green it’ll be him (if he gets the chance).

I think it’s important to remember Heads recent form, in the last 3 Shield Seasons he’s averaged around 43 and been in top 7 run scorers each time. I believe it took him 3 seasons to score his first ton (he had already been made SA captain by then), so he’s scored his 7 tones in roughly 3 seasons, which isn’t terrible. I think he needs time to improve and a bit of solidity in his ODI spot (he’s batted everywhere from 1 to 7 in his 40 odd game career).

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

Again, wouldn’t bin Head, but happy to see Marsh go, prefer Burns over Handscomb. Bonus points for Radelaide.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

I think it’d be unfair to drop head at this point, 3 test innings ago he scored a crucial 70 against Pakistan to put on a 130+ run stand with Khawaja. After that he had the 3rd highest Australian score for the match in the next test (albeit only 36). He’s scored 120 runs in his last 3 digs, which isn’t amaxing, but its more than Shaun Marsh, Mitchell Marsh, Labuschange and Paine. I’d give him the first test and see if he can atleast score a 40 odd.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

Yep exactly, experienced campaigner bowlers. I’d have Sayers, Siddle and maybe Neser in there too. The big 3 and Lyon are a world apart from the rest of the Aussie bowlers, but we have 5-6 almost international standard bowlers (with the exemption of Siddle of course) who can do the job when required.

Chances are they’ll pick an Ambidextrous leg spinner out of Darwin 3rd grade though.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

I wouldn’t have Head on that list yet, but as I said on another comment, no score above 40 in the 1st test and I’d leave him out. Scored a ton and a 97* in the lead up to the Pakistan tests and scored a crucial 70 to help draw that test against Pakistan with a 130+ run stand with Khawaja. He’s only had one test since that really good innings, granted he didn’t do great, but the highest Aussie score for that game was 43 and he was 3rd highest with a 36.

I know everyones thoughts on the Marsh brothers so it seemed a bit redundant to include them on this list, as well as the fact both have scored tons in the shield since being back in Aussie soil so Langer will have them in the side anyway, this was more my thoughts on the outsiders that people have been suggesting join the side.

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

I’ve heard of a couple of mentions of Sangha and Edwards on some platforms. They kind of changed busses when Pukowski pulled out of the shield.

Lehmanns had some mentions now that his dad is gone, but he’s barely even the 4th best player in the Redbacks batting line up behind Ferguson, head and Weatherald.

I’d have Ferguson line up for Labuschagnes spot, with Handscomb in the wings incase Head fails (no score above around a 40) in the first test

Who should not make the Test XI against India?

Exactly, not only is it bad for the team, but the players aswell. Great point.
