'Dangerous, ruthless, committed aura': New foundations are being laid at Carlton
Very fair overview. I agree with the leadership issue, the whole group has been damaged by a losing culture.

You’ve hit the mark here. The piece is as optimistic as it gets, but us Blues supporters know better than anyone this could go the opposite direction. The main reason I’m optimistic in that manner is the way the club has conducted itself to the Carlton community specifically. I think opposition supporters don’t see what they’ve done for us supporters as of late and are solely judging off the media and they’re never positive.

The Carlton pack is strong… as much optimism as the Essendon supporters like yourself that gets crushed once the season begins. You gotta believe!

True, I haven’t been alive long enough to witness the decades part
'Dangerous, ruthless, committed aura': New foundations are being laid at Carlton
It’s wishful thinking on my behalf, cut us Carlton supporters some slack, we’ve done it hard being slammed for the last couple of years
'Dangerous, ruthless, committed aura': New foundations are being laid at Carlton
It’s the only time Carlton supporters can be optimistic without losing any games of footy, it’s wishful thinking at the end of the day to keep us hopeful.

Agree, and my bad for not expanding! Was thinking very short term when writing.
Where does Michael Voss turn to plug the gaping hole left by Liam Jones?
You’re spot on in that regard. Blues’ seem to always struggle so to replace key players and with the pressure they’re under it will be an interesting talking point going into next season.
Where does Michael Voss turn to plug the gaping hole left by Liam Jones?
That’s makes more sense! I got confused reading his injury record, thought something seemed off. It’s too hard to keep up with his injuries!
Where does Michael Voss turn to plug the gaping hole left by Liam Jones?
Definitely can see that potential however Lewis might take a bit longer, which isn’t ideal in a short turnaround but McDonald could definitely be trained as that lockdown defender. He did pretty well at half back to start to year so it wouldn’t be a terrible move.
Where does Michael Voss turn to plug the gaping hole left by Liam Jones?
Definitely not my intention to make this COVID related and I apolgise if it came across in a bad manner. Was hoping it would be only football related.
Where does Michael Voss turn to plug the gaping hole left by Liam Jones?
They have left very fine margins for error now, but it, in turn, drives expectations up.
