Good hustle from DHP, who turned and raced back to halfway, before catching the retiring Reds defenders off guard, he pots the ball into touch, where the Reds clear to DHP deep. They push down the left edge, and Maddocks finds Hodge, who throws a lovely no look pass to Ruru, whose tip on to Cottrell is even better. Cottrell is too strong, and bustles under Sorovi from close.
Great, fantastic, excellent Rebels try, and they hit back immediately.
Kick is as tough as they come for Hodge, and nails it. Great strike, and we’re all square.

10‘ – Well, some good continuity from the Rebels, but the Reds were very up to the task – a couple of big, big shots in defence. The Melbourne side win a penalty in the end for the Reds being a little eager in at the breakdown. Hodge will have a dip at goal from 30m back to the right of the upright, and he bangs it over – nice strike.
